*NEW* Attendance Procedures for In-Person Students

With the change to five days of in-person learning for all students beginning April 12th, the expectation is that students will attend in-person unless the student is under quarantine/isolation or is home ill. If for some reason your child needs to attend school remotely instead of in-person on a given day, attendance procedures are changing to state that the child’s parent/guardian will need to contact the school office prior to the start of the school day.

*This means students may not pick and choose the days they feel like coming to school.  In person means that they will be here daily.

*Greg Grana comment because he knows how the middle school mind works.

Thank you PTO

For the last 15+ years we have had Woodlawn mats in front of the building.  The PTO has replaced them and we now have these beautiful mats in front of the building.  I took this photo and it is not my best work.  My bad.

Finally, Spring Break allowed me the opportunity to complete a couple of house projects that I have been ignoring.  I mean, my social calendar has been so packed for the last year, how could I possibly finish off these tasks?  For example, we have a hanging light near the front entrance that requires a really tall ladder to change and clean.  Throughout the course of the last couple of years, 5 of the 8 bulbs have burned out.  I think that the major motivator for me was the 5th bulb going out.  4 bulbs out was just 50/50, whereas the 5th bulb out was unacceptable.  After the replacement and cleaning, flipping the light switch on that night reminded me of a search light beacon.  Anyhow, it is embarrassing to think about why I didn’t get to these types of projects sooner.  I mean really, what have I been doing?
