SUMMER 2021 REQUIRED READING & OPTIONAL ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES

Which Grade Level?

Choose the grade level of your student in the just-completed 2020–21 school year.
For example, a student who will be in Grade 8 in the 2021–22 school year should select the Grades 6–7 category and complete 7th-grade work.

Let's keep our learning going all summer long!

The fun and engaging activities linked by grade level above are designed to be done for 30–60 minutes daily and will build on the curriculum students experienced during the school year. Listed on the yellow-shaded band for each week, find:

Required reading (titled Summer Reading Review Required)
Note: Students entering grades 7 and 8 in the upcoming 2021–22 school year will find their Required Reading assignment HERE.
Optional math activities (titled Math Review)
• Also, students can choose from among additional activities related to science, social studies, writing, music, art, PE, and STEM.

Activities are set up to cover the 10 weeks of summer break. Each week includes required reading and optional math connections, along with optional activities related to science, social studies, writing, music, art, PE, and STEM. The expectation is that students should be able to work at these activities independently. There is nothing to submit.
