Woodlawn Principal's Blog 11/2/18

November 2nd.  Let me say that again...It is November 2nd everyone!  Yikes. I cannot even think about how fast the next two months will go.  Instead, let me give you a piece of good news. This Sunday at 2a.m. is the end of daylight saving time.  What does this mean? We get to “FALL BACK” and gain an extra hour of sleep. BAM! We will remain out of daylight saving time until March 10th of 2019.  Back to my initial thought, 2019 will be here in 59 days. Ugh.

Finally, we are working on a new sport in my house.  It is called “who can walk past the items on the stairs the most”.  My system (yes another house system) is to put items on the stairs heading up, hoping that an individual in my house will recognize their item and take them up.  What amazes me is the ability of my children to ignore their shoes, backpack, coat, etc., for an extended period of time. It usually ends with me shouting something to them as they walk near the stairs.  My favorite is when they are coming down the stairs and have to step over the items that I have piled up. My next blog will include home safety. It looks like I am going to have to improve my systems or start some kind of training.

Finally part 2...I love Halloween:
