Principal's Message - April 5, 2023

4/7/23

Welcome Back!
We hope everyone had a great Spring Break!  We know that Spring is in the air and with that comes excitement for the end of the school year and summer. As we move into our final two months, we wanted to send out some reminders on what we can all do to close out a wonderful year together.

We love that so many of the kids truly enjoy socializing with one another. However, we ask that all students adhere to the schedule and do their best to arrive on time for each of their classes. It is important that they are on time for class and have the supplies, (including a charged iPad and a writing utensil) necessary to accomplish all the expected class tasks. We want to maximize instructional time and having all students ready for class is a big part of their success. Please look out for the new Tardy Procedures that will be highlighted in my April 14th Principal’s Message. These new procedures will begin on the 17th.

As students know, cell phones are required to remain in student lockers throughout the school day. We have had a number of students’ phones confiscated in recent weeks, which isn’t what anyone wants. Please think through any decision to bring a cell phone to class, knowing what kind of distraction this can cause for that student and classmates.

Finally, the lunchroom. We ask that all students show positive character by cleaning up after themselves and kindly listening to supervisors trying to make sure everyone can safely eat their lunch. This is the time for students to be social and to have that break, but never at the expense of others. Please show expected behaviors in the lunchroom.

To ensure a positive ending to our school year, we wanted to make sure to send out reminders on student behavior and learner responsibilities. Thank you for your collaboration!

Sincerely,
TG Staff
