There is no school on Tuesday, April 4th.
There is no school on Friday, April 7th.
There is a half day of school on Friday, April 21st. Students will be dismissed at 11:10 AM.
There is an early release on Tuesday, April 25th. Students will be dismissed at 1:30 PM.

What’s Happening at TG?
Spanish: In 6th grade Spanish, the students are enjoying a unit where they are learning to describe themselves in both personality and appearance. In 7th grade, we are making each other hungry talking about the foods we eat typically and what is eaten in Spanish-speaking countries. In 8th grade, we look forward to reviewing clothing and closing the year with a unit on shopping.
Band: Students are working on the music for our final concert, the Band Extravaganza, Thursday, May 18. Students are also working in Smart Music and OSFABB to complete practice goals set for them. The 7th-grade students went to the Elgin Symphony on Wednesday, March 15, and had a good time listening and experiencing the Elgin Symphony Orchestra. I hope all have a great spring break.
Orchestra: Congratulations to all of the students on a wonderful concert on March 2nd! Also congratulations to the TG Chamber Orchestra on a wonderful performance on March 22nd!

Tuesday, May 30, 8 pm @ SHS: Orchestra Performs at 8th Grade Graduation (7th and select 6th Graders only)

Proof of Dental Exam
Dear Parents/Guardians of District 96 Kindergarteners, 2nd, and 6th Grade Students:
Please note that your child’s completed dental examination is now due, per Illinois school law. The deadline for the dental examination is due no later than May 15 of the current school year. Proof of this required dental examination must have been completed within eighteen months prior to the May 15 deadline.
If you haven’t already done so, please make an appointment with your child’s dentist for a dental examination, have him and/or her complete the required form and return it to your child’s school nurse. This examination can be as old as November 15, 2021.

In the event that you are unable to fulfill this requirement, the state of Illinois does permit a waiver of the examination.
