This is the last Principal’s Message of the 21-22 School Year!

Congratulations!
This past weekend we had 5 students make it to the IESA Track and Field State Meet in East Peoria. These students gave it their best and represented Twin Groves with all the determination of a true athlete.
-Our 7th grade girls 4 x 200m Relay Team placed 13th in the 4A State competition. The team consisted of Katie Castro, Serena Liu, Aaliyah Murtishi, and Alice Oleynichenko.
-Alice Oleynichenko (7th grade) placed 11th on the Long Jump and 23rd on the Girls 200m dash.
-Aaliyah Murtishi (7th grade) placed 17th on the long jump.
-Donovan Williams (8th grade) placed 8th in the Boys 800m dash.
Congratulations to all the athletes and thank you to the entire Track and Field team for a great season. We hope to see most of you back for the 2023 season.

Orchestra
Congratulations to all of the orchestra students on a fabulous concert on May 12th. I am so proud of all of the students and all of their hard work this year!
Deadline to register your child for Orchestra for 2022-2023 is TODAY! The registration form below explains the schedules for 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Orchestras as you fill out the form. Please make sure to read through and review carefully with your child and fill out the form completely. Make sure to click "submit" at the end. Please make sure to spell your child's name correctly as well as any email addresses you indicate.
Please note that this registration form is separate from the school registration form you filled out for your child(ren) through the District. Please register your child at the link below by TODAY! Friday, May 20th.
Twin Groves 6-8 Orchestra Registration
REFUND OF 8th GRADERS’ POSITIVE LUNCH ACCOUNT BALANCES
Positive lunch account balances for graduating 8th graders of $5 or more will automatically be refunded at the conclusion of the school year. Parents wishing to transfer remaining balances to siblings still in D96 on the K12PaymentCenter.com should do so by Friday, June 3rd. Refund checks will be mailed by District Business Office staff Wednesday, June 15th to the home address on record.

The Twin Groves PTO is looking for parents to join the PTO Board and to chair committees for the 22-23 school year. We would love your help!

Summer Reading
Incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will be completing a summer reading assignment. The 5th grade, 6th grade, and 7th grade LA teachers will also be sharing this in class, and the assignment will be posted on the district website.
