New Faces

Kristyn Everett and Keith Dunn will be taking over for Ms. Skale’s maternity leave.
Kristyn and Keith are both math coaches in the district. They have many years of experience teaching math for our district and other districts.
Access to Class Zoom Links- This is the same information that was sent out this morning.
We have worked very hard to make the zoom login process as easy as possible for the students. Please note that these links only work for students signed on with their distirct email. These links will NOT work for parents.
Students received these codes in an email today and they received a Schoology blast wtih the information.
Please read below to learn more.
Menus have been created to allow easy access to all class Zooms. Students will simply:
1. Find the teacher they need on the appropriate document (linked below)
2. Click that teacher’s name at the appropriate class time
3. The class Zoom will open
Parents and students will not need to keep track of Zoom links and passcodes--just the documents. Teachers will post the documents in each of their Schoology courses so students can access it easily.
Each Zoom menu document includes your student’s team of teachers, including PE, Health, Spanish, Band, Orchestra, and Exploratory (Art, Music, The Art of Science and Living). The Zoom menu document also includes the related service providers (special education teachers and our counseling staff) at Twin Groves.

We have created a First Day of School Help open Zoom session link for students in need of technical help or other support. HERE is the link.
Opening Day will be Monday, August 24th, 2020 from 7:45 AM - 11:10 PM
Please note, this is a HALF DAY.
Middle School Half-Day Remote Learning Schedule
The first full day of school will be on August 25th, 2020 from 7:45 AM - 2:30 PM.
Middle School Daily REMOTE LEARNING SCHEDULE
Attendance
Attendance is required as we return to school this August. This is different from remote learning in the spring. Please contact the school office if your student will be absent from class at any time throughout the school day. Parents will be required to provide a reason for the absence. If your student is ill, symptoms will need to be provided to the school office. If your child will be absent for any portion of the day for any reason, please contact the office to let us know. 847-821-8946
Schoology Parent Codes
Parents will receive a message through School Messenger on Wednesday, August 26th with their parent access code for Schoology. Directions will also be attached to the message.
Clubs/Study Halls/Activities
Twin Groves will be offering many virtual clubs, activities, and study halls. The clubs, activities, and study halls will be posted on our website and advertised in our Daily Announcements by Friday, August 28th. The clubs, activities, and study halls will start on Monday, August 31st.
When the information comes out regarding the clubs, activities, and study halls, we will also provide the zoom link information for students.
Materials Pick Up
At this time, the two middle schools do not have materials for the students to pick up for their classes. Materials for PE and Exploratory classes have been ordered. When materials are ready for pick up for PE and Exploratory Classes, communication will be sent out in the Principal’s Message.

REMEMBER TO MEET HEALTH FORM REQUIREMENTS
Health form requirements vary by grade level and for new/returning students. New to District 96 (all grade levels)? See MORE INFO regarding grade-level specific health form requirements.
All students entering Grade 6 must have their CERTIFICATE OF CHILD HEALTH EXAMINATION/IMMUNIZATION FORM (signed by the physician) on file in the school office by October 15, 2020.
Additional Grade 6 health form requirements include the DENTAL EXAMINATION FORM by May 15, 2021.
