Principal's Message 5/31/19

5/31/19

TGIF...Twin Groves it’s Friday! This will be the last Principal's Message for the year!

Congratulations to the 8th Grade Students! It was so great celebrating with all of you at graduation. Good luck next year!

The last day of school for 6th and 7th graders will be June 4th. Students are dismissed at 11:10AM.

I hope everyone has a relaxing and safe summer! See you in August!

Congratulations, Mr. DeMuth!

Mr. DeMuth was recently approved by the Board of Education in District 21 to be the next Principal of Cooper Middle School. We will miss him at Twin next year, but wish him the best of luck in his new role!

2019 SUMMER READING/ASSIGNMENT–Remember to Read!

We encourage summer reading for all our students. This practice is important–research suggests that students can lose more than two months of academic progress if they don't continue to read during summer months.

Please see SUMMER READING for the parent letter/reading assignment info and suggested reading resources for your student (by grade level).

DOES YOUR GRADUATING 8TH-GRADER HAVE A POSITIVE LUNCH ACCOUNT BALANCE?

Positive lunch account balances (any amount) may be transferred to a younger sibling enrolled in District 96, Grades 1–8, for the 2019–20 school year.

Make or request your transfer NO LATER THAN Friday, June 7th.

To make the transfer online:

Log into your K–12 PAYMENT CENTER account and select “Transfer Funds” on the left side of the website home page. OR

To request a transfer if you have not yet established an account:

Send a “Transfer Request” email to Cassie Smalley ([email protected]) in the Business Office. Include the following info: Names of BOTH the graduating 8th grader AND the remaining D96 sibling whose account should receive the transferred amount.

Note: All un-transferred positive lunch account balances in excess of $10 will automatically be refunded. A check will be issued on June 19th and will be mailed to the home address included in our database.
