Upstander Awards

In an effort to spread positivity, Twin Groves uses our 5 Traits to recognize exemplars of the following qualities: Responsible, Accountable, Respectful, Safe, and a Community. In addition to the 5 Traits, we are also recognizing students for being an Upstander.

Dorsa Akbarzadeh

Olivia Gancarz

Jacob Heald

What’s Happening at TG?

Spanish

The 6th and 7th graders will be utilizing the break out boxes during the last week of class.  Best of luck to the 8th graders next year in high school.

Orchestra

It has been another great year in Orchestra! Over the summer, 6th Grade Orchestra students should continue to work on their shifting packets, practicing playing harmonics, and should go back in the book and work on any songs we did not play this year. 7th Graders should start working on two octave scales in their current books as well as continuing to practice the 3rd position pages. Also, please make sure your child picks up music from Mrs. Anderson if he/she is interested in auditioning for Chamber Orchestra and/or ILMEA next year. Have a great summer and best of luck to the 8th Grade orchestra students next year at SHS!

2019 SUMMER READING/ASSIGNMENT–Remember to Read!

We encourage summer reading for all our students. This practice is important–research suggests that students can lose more than two months of academic progress if they don't continue to read during summer months.

Please see SUMMER READING for the parent letter/reading assignment info and suggested reading resources for your student (by grade level).
