April is Sexual Assault and Prevention Month.

This month Twin Groves will be sharing information about Sexual Assault and prevention. We will focus on using our voices to correct harmful misconceptions, promote everyday consent, model healthy behaviors and practice healthy communication with others.

Individuals can embrace their voice to show their support for survivors, stand up to victim blaming and shut down rape jokes. Our words shape the world around us. Whether you are speaking out against locker room talk or helping someone better understand these issues, your voice is powerful and necessary in this conversation.

April 11th will be Wear Teal Day. Wear Teal Day is a day of awareness where we encourage everyone to wear teal in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. You can wear teal shirts, nail polish, ribbons, jewelry, shoes or anything else you can think of!

Parents, please see the this LINK for additional resources.
