GiftCrowd
We will be using GiftCrowd again for end of the year gifts for teachers and staff. Let’s show the Prairie Teachers & Staff our appreciation for their hard work and dedication to our children! The Prairie PTO has set-up this GiftCrowd to allow families an easy way to contribute toward a gift for each teacher and staff member to choose and enjoy. The minimum recommended gift amount is $5 and up.

2025-2026 PTO Board and Committees
We are starting to look for new board members and committee support for the
2025-2026 school year. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes
with the PTO and we need your help! Please consider joining us. We will also have
committee spots opening soon. Planning for our Fall events (Back to School Bash,
Halloween Bash, Dessert Day and Special Lunch) all start in the Spring and Summer.
We are looking for new ideas to reimagine and update our events to keep them FUN for
our families. Without proper support, we will not be able to host these kinds of events
and activities. Please email us at [email protected] for more information.
General Reminders:
D96 School Directory / Family Contact Info
The PTO often gets requests for contact information for your student's classmates. This directory is NOT maintained by the PTO but can be found at the link below. You are able to sort by teacher, grade or school. Please note, families do have to opt in to be included in this directory.

Dessert Day and Special Lunch
Please remember, special lunch and dessert day forms do CLOSE in the days (sometimes longer depending on the vendor for Special Lunch) leading up to the event in order for the PTO to place orders. We can not accept late orders.
Membership toolkit
All Prairie PTO forms–including volunteer sign-up forms, PTO purchases, and volunteer opportunities–are included in the Prairie PTO Membership Toolkit.
PTO Mission
While we host several fundraising events, the mission of the PTO is to have events where our children can have fun, parents can meet other parents and we can bridge the gap between school and home. We truly want to have a sense of community among all our families. We welcome you to the community and are so excited to have you become part of the family. When you sign up to attend events, buy Spirit Wear, participate in Dessert Day, Special Lunch, or donate, we are able to support our community in new and creative ways, including:
- supporting the school by purchasing needed Wish List items
- creating community among our parents, students, teachers, and staff
Please consider volunteering or donating items for events. We appreciate your support.
