We have lots of important events planned as we kick off the 2023-24 school year! Go Pumas!

Welcome Breakfast for Staff:  August 22nd

The PTO will be providing breakfast and snack items for the staff to welcome everyone back for the new school year.  

Dessert Day

Please join the Prairie Dessert Day Club Membership 2023-24!  Our first dessert day will be Friday, September 8.

Pay ONLY ONCE this school year and get an ice cream dessert from Hershey's during a designated Dessert Day each month, starting in September 2023 and running through May 2024.  Students will have a variety of frozen treats to choose from, and you won't need to remember to order each month. No punch cards are necessary.

In order for your student to participate in Dessert Day Club for September, sign-up is due Tuesday, September 5.

There will be opportunities to sign up throughout the year if you want to add this for your student but it is only ONE membership per student.

Parents can also sign up to volunteer for Dessert Day. Sign-up forms are also listed in MTK but are limited to one slot per parent for the year.

Special Lunch

Our first special lunch will be Friday, September 15, 2023. The PTO brings in lunch from an approved outside vendor.  Sign up for September Special Lunch will be due by Tuesday, September 5.

Room Parent Sign Up

Parents can sign up to be a room parent for their student's classroom through MTK.  The form is now open and will close at the end of the day September 3.  It is important that your student's teacher is updated in MTK first before signing up.  Room parents will be chosen randomly from the list of those who signed up, not first-come, first-served.  The PTO will notify you if you have been chosen as the room parent.

Save the Date: September 8, Back to School Bash

Our annual bash to welcome all Prairie families back to school runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. September 8, 2023. There will be fun games along with food and water to purchase on site (cash only). More information to come.

PTO Mission

While we host several fundraising events, the mission of the PTO is to have events where our children can have fun, parents can meet other parents and we can bridge the gap between school and home. We truly want to have a sense of community among all our families. We welcome you to the community and are so excited to have you become part of the family. When you sign up to attend events, buy Spirit Wear, participate in Dessert Day, Special Lunch, or donate, we are able to support our community in new and creative ways, including:

  • supporting the school by purchasing needed Wish List items
  • creating community among our parents, students, teachers, and staff

Please consider volunteering or donating items for events. We appreciate your support!
