Let's Show Staff Appreciation
It’s time to show our Prairie staff how much we appreciate them during our second staff appreciation event that takes place during conferences.
The PTO will be providing staff member dinner on October 6, and we need help to provide drinks and snacks for the staff for both days of the conferences.
If you don’t have time to shop, the PTO can do it for you. All you need to do is head over to MTK and select a cash donation from the list, and we will use that money towards items needed for that night.
Please bring all donations to school by 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 4.
School Store Opens in October
The School Store will officially open during lunch on October 18.
This is a fun way for the kids to purchase cute school supplies and small toys at lunch. Most items cost between 25 cents and $1.50. 
Please send money with your child on School Store days.
Kids love shopping at lunch: Please remember to send smaller bills in with your kiddos.
All proceeds support our PTO and the fun community events we plan.
Next Special Lunch is October 28
Get your orders in for Special Lunch, which will be held on October 28. The last day to get your orders in is October 21.

REPEAT: Dessert Day Information
We are happy to bring back the Dessert Day Club Membership for 2022-2023. 
Pay only once this school year and get an ice cream dessert from Hershey's during a designated Dessert Day each month, from September 2022 to May 2023.
Students will have a variety of frozen treats to choose from, and you won't need to remember to order each month. Once you purchase a membership, your child(ren) will be given a ticket on Dessert Day to use towards their favorite frozen treat, so you won't need to do anything else. No punch cards necessary!

PLEASE NOTE: Dessert Day Club Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a student is absent or chooses to not participate in Dessert Day, no refunds or credits will be given for the missed treat. Club Memberships have no cash value.

Seeking Party Volunteers
NEW THIS YEAR: Party Volunteers Sign-up on MTK
This year we will be utilizing Membership toolkit to sign up Day of Party volunteers. Each classroom will have one Room parent and two party Helpers.
Room Parents will assign party helpers to bring a craft to do or a game to play during the party.
Party Volunteers will sign-up at least 30 days before the party. The sign-up will always go live at 9 a.m. Saturday. Sign-up will be a first-come, first-serve basis. Once the two spots are taken, you may put your name on the waitlist. Should a volunteer have to back out, we will utilize the waitlist to fill the vacant spot. After the sign-up, the Room Parent will reach out to party volunteers to assign responsibilities and give more information about the classroom parties.
This is a first-come, first-serve! Head over to MTK and make sure to get signed up!
- Halloween Party sign-up will open on Saturday October 1st at 9 a.m.
- Party held on October 31, 2-2:45pm
- Winter Party sign-up will open on Saturday November 19, 9 a.m.
- Party held on Thursday December 22, 2-2:45 p.m.
- Valentine’s Party sign-up will open Saturday January 14, 9 a.m.
- Party held on Tuesday February 14, 1-1:45 p.m.

For those who sign up as a "General Volunteers," we can contact you should we need additional help at the school, volunteers at PTO events, and/or Staff Appreciation donations.

The new and improved Box Tops mobile APP uses state-of-the-art technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to your school's earning online. Your school's. 
earnings are automatically updated online. Super easy to use! And no more clipping or forgetting to send in those Box Tops to school! But don't worry! We still are accepting the Box Tops you clip and send in, as well!
Prairie PTO Mission
While we host several fundraising events, the mission of the PTO is to have events where our children can have fun and parents can meet other parents, and we can bridge the gap between school and home. We truly want to have a sense of community among all our families. We welcome you to the community and are so excited to have you become part of the family.
When you sign up to attend events, buy Spirit Wear, participate in Dessert Day, Special Lunch, or donate, we are able to support our community in new and creative ways, including:
- supporting the school by purchasing needed Wish List items
- creating community among our parents, students, teachers, and staff
