All Prairie PTO forms – including volunteer sign-up forms, PTO purchases and volunteer opportunities – are included in the Prairie PTO Membership Toolkit. Please make sure you have an UPDATED Membership Toolkit account with the correct current teacher/grade for your student.
Is your student a 1st grader, or is your family new to Prairie School? Please make sure you create your Prairie PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT account today.
Room Parents Needed
Room parents sign-up is now open! Head over to MTK ~ https://prairiepto.membershiptoolkit.com/login ~ to sign up to be your child’s room parent for the 2022-23 school year.
As the Room Parent, you will attend all three classroom parties:
- Halloween: Monday, October 31 (2-2:45pm)
- Winter: Thursday, December 22 (2-2:45pm)
- Valentine’s Day: Tuesday, February 14th (1-1:45pm)
The 5th grade Room Parents will also be on the 5th grade End of the Year Party Committee (more information later).
Room Parents are responsible for organizing party volunteers (2 per classroom) and running the party the day of the party. Party volunteers will sign up on MTK at a later time (stay tuned for more information!!)

Prairie Picture Day: September 13
Prairie’s student picture day is Tuesday, September 13. More information to come in an upcoming Principal’s Message (https://www.kcsd96.org/p-principal/blog)
First Special Lunch Is September 23 
Get your orders in for the first Special Lunch of the year which will be held on September 23rd! Last day to get your orders in is September 17th! Keep checking our Facebook page, blog, and the principal’s message for more information regarding special lunches!
We are also still looking for more volunteers to help us during Special Lunch. Please head over to MTK and sign up to volunteer.
Dessert Day Club Membership Returns
We are happy to bring back the Dessert Day Club Membership for 2022-2023.
Pay only once this school year and get an ice cream dessert from Hershey's during a designated Dessert Day each month, from September 2022 to May 2023. 
Students will have a variety of frozen treats to choose from, and you won't need to remember to order each month. Once you purchase a membership, your child(ren) will be given a ticket on Dessert Day to use towards their favorite frozen treat, so you won't need to do anything else. No punch cards are necessary.

PLEASE NOTE: Dessert Day Club Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a student is absent or chooses to not participate in Dessert Day, no refunds or credits will be given for the missed treat. Club Memberships have no cash value.
We are also still looking for more volunteers to help us during Dessert Day. Please head over to MTK and sign up to volunteer!
Puma Families: We need your help!
Head over to https://prairiepto.membershiptoolkit.com/. There you will find school order forms, volunteer opportunities, and the PTO calendar. We are looking for "General Volunteers" as well as a few more Chairperson's for events/committees!
For those who sign up as a "General Volunteers," we can contact you should we need additional help at the school, volunteers at PTO events, and/or Staff Appreciation donations.
Please sign-up under the volunteer opportunities tab, and we will send you a Volunteer Link as needs arise. Please know, you are not obligated to volunteer if you receive an email link.
Next Generation of Box Tops Is Here
The new and improved Box Tops mobile APP uses state-of-the-art technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to your school's earning online. Your school's. 
earnings are automatically updated online. Super easy to use! And no more clipping or forgetting to send in those Box Tops to school! But don't worry! We still are accepting the Box Tops you clip and send in, as well!
Prairie PTO Mission
While we host several fundraising events, the mission of the PTO is to have events where our children can have fun and parents can meet other parents, and we can bridge the gap between school and home. We truly want to have a sense of community among all our families. We welcome you to the community and are so excited to have you become part of the family.
When you sign up to attend events, buy Spirit Wear, participate in Dessert Day, Special Lunch, or donate, we are able to support our community in new and creative ways, including:
- supporting the school by purchasing needed Wish List items
- creating community among our parents, students, teachers, and staff
