DESSERT DAY
We are happy to introduce the new Dessert Day Club Membership for 2021-2022!
Pay only once this school year and get an ice cream dessert from Hershey's during a designated Dessert Day each month, from October 2021 to May 2022!
Students will have a variety of frozen treats to choose from, and you won't need to remember to order each month. Once you purchase a membership, your child(ren) will be given a ticket on Dessert Day to use towards their favorite frozen treat, so you won't need to do anything else. No punch cards necessary!

PLEASE NOTE: Dessert Day Club Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a student is absent or chooses to not participate in Dessert Day, no refunds or credits will be given for the missed treat. Club Memberships have no cash value.
Staff Appreciation
Puma families, it is time to show the Prairie staff how much we appreciate them during our second staff appreciation event that takes place during conferences.
The PTO will be providing staff members boxed meals on Oct. 7, and we need your help to provide drinks and snacks for the staff for both days of the conferences.
If you do not have time to shop, the PTO can do it for you: Head over to MTK and select a cash donation from the list below, and we will use that money towards items needed for that night.
On Wednesday, Oct. 6, please bring all donations to school by 3 p.m.

Book Fair
Dear families:
Book Fair will be open from Oct. 4 thru Oct. 8! Be on the lookout for handouts in your child’s backpack for information on preview days from Oct. 4 through 6. Book fair will be open during recess on Oct. 7 for kids to purchase items. We will also have the Book Fair open during conferences for parents to come in on Thursday night and Friday during the day.
Please send your student with some cash (small bills please) or use the E-wallet!

MONSTER BASH
Save the date for a Covid friendly Monster bash on Oct. 22. There will be games, photo back drop and other fun things to do! Monster Bash will run from 6-7:30 p.m.

For those who sign up as a "General Volunteers," you will be contacted should we need additional help at the school, volunteers at PTO events and/or contributions for Staff Appreciation donations. Please sign-up under the volunteer opportunities tab, and we will send you a Volunteer Link as needs arise.
Please know, you are not obligated to volunteer if you receive an email link.
PRAIRIE PTO MISSION
While we host several fundraising events, the mission of the PTO is to have events where our children can have fun, parents can meet other parents and we can bridge the gap between school and home. We truly want to have a sense of community among all our families. We welcome you to the community and are so excited to have you become part of the family.
When you sign up to attend events, buy Spirit Wear, participate in Dessert Day, Special Lunch, or make a donation, we are able to support our community in new and creative ways, including:
- supporting the school by purchasing needed Wish List items
- creating community among our parents, students, teachers, and staff
