Principal's Message, 06.02.23

Prairie Families:

Welcome to Summer Break!

Today is our last edition of Prairie's Message for this school year.

On behalf of Prairie School and the District, a big "thank you" to our teachers for all their hard work in helping all of our learners grow this school year and an equally big "thank you" to our support staff for their flexibility in supporting students each day.

Additionally, "thank you" to our wonderful and hardworking PTO for organizing memorable and appreciated events and experiences for our students.

Finally, "thank you" to all of our Prairie families for your support of the staff and school this school year.   As a school, we wish our 5th graders the best as they leave Prairie ready for the new experiences and environments that middle school will bring them.

You should expect to receive the next Prairie’s Message at the end of the first week of August.

Enjoy your break ...

~ Prairie School Staff

REPEAT *Report Cards and 6th Grade Placement*

Trimester 3 report cards will be available on TeacherEase (School Insight) at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 5.

Note: 5th to 6th grade placement results will be emailed to parents shortly after report cards are available on Monday, June 5.

REPEAT *Summer Reading*

This summer, we want students to experience the pure joy of reading. Since the purpose of summer reading is to help foster a love of reading, we strongly feel that students should read a book that is of high interest to them and close to the difficulty level of text they would encounter during the school year.

To support our elementary students in continuing to read over the summer, each grade level has a recommended reading list, as well as optional reading lessons that can be completed independently by students. Both the lists and the summer reading lessons can be found on our district website.
