Principal's Message 1.20.23

Dear Parents,

It’s hard to believe that we are quickly approaching the end of January.  While it is evident that student learning, engagement, and safety continue to be our main priorities, we are still making sure to have fun along the way. Students enjoyed our Buddy Activity today where time was spent on the topic of "Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover."  Students wrote stories with their buddies and then did a video recording of the story.  It's always so much fun when our buddy classrooms get together.  Please remember that Tuesday is an Early Release for students.

Dr. Christine Pfaff

Principal

REPEAT *ACCESS Testing*

The State of Illinois requires identified English Learner (EL) students to annually participate in the ACCESS testing to determine current English language proficiency in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Our ACCESS testing window will occur from 1/17-2/22. Each school’s testing schedule is unique and will only impact students who take the ACCESS test. Students taking ACCESS do not need to prepare anything ahead of time.
