Principal's Message 11.4.22

Dear Parents,

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for last Friday's Trunk-or-Treat event.  We had fourteen decorated vehicles and they were just wonderful!  The themes were super cute and the treats were scrumptious.  We know putting a Halloween trunk together takes precious time and we are grateful for your time and efforts to make this such a wonderful event for our kids.  The event was extremely well attended.  Likely the highest turnout we've had for an event in quite some time.

Where do the funds the PTO raises go from an event such as this?  Well, for this event, the funds go directly into the event itself.  Each decorated vehicle received bags of candy to distribute to our trick-or-treaters.  Games and prizes were offered at the event along with the DJ for music and dancing. The expenses of these offerings were covered by the minimal admission fee. The PTO covers the cost of other school events as well such as Cultural Arts assemblies, which we are working on bringing back this year after winter break.  All-in-all, funds raised from PTO events go directly back to students in one way or another.

Thanks again for coming to Trunk-or-Treat.  It was spooktacular!

Kindly,

Christine Pfaff - Principal

While walk-ins are welcome, please use THIS Google Form to RSVP. Knowing attendee numbers prior to the event will help us plan the evening's activities. We look forward to seeing you at the event!

REPEAT *Lost & Found*

We will be donating items that are in our lost & found on Friday, Nov. 11th. If your child is missing something, please encourage them to look in the lost & found for it.  We are happy to return items to students that are labeled so please label all your child’s items.

REPEAT *Cooler Weather is Upon Us*

The gold and red leaves are providing us with a beautiful backdrop during recess.  Please make sure that your child has the appropriate clothes as the temperature drops.  Dressing in layers is always a good idea.  Don't forget hats, gloves, and scarves.  Please label your child’s items so that if they find their way to the Lost and Found, the item can be returned to your child.
