Community Day

Thank you to all the parents and other family members who come to school today for Community Day.  We had a wonderful turnout.  It was so fun to see everyone fully engaged in the classroom activities presented by students and teachers in homerooms and also in our specials classes of Art, Exploration Lab, Music, and Physical Education.  The photo booths were a huge hit - thanks Instructional Coaches for thinking of these super fun booths set up around our school!   Thank you to all the parents who shared with me that they really enjoyed the morning and that they had so much fun with their kids.  A BIG thank you as well to the planning committee for this event and all the teachers for their creative activities.  I know many staff members have published pictures on Twitter so please look at #inspire96 for some fun memories.

Flag Pole Assembly

On Tuesday, June 4th at 11:35am, we will assemble around our flagpole for our annual Flagpole Assembly.  Don’t miss this treasured tradition of saying farewell to our 5th graders and hello to summer for all. See you soon!

 2019 SUMMER READING/ASSIGNMENT–Remember to Read!

We encourage summer reading for all our students. This practice is important–research suggests that students can lose more than two months of academic progress if they don't continue to read during the summer months.

Please see SUMMER READING for the parent letter/reading assignment info and suggested reading resources for your student (by grade level).

We Need Your Help! - It's enrollment season!

As families move into your neighborhood, let them know it's time to register for the 2019/20 school year.  It isn't uncommon for families to wait until August.  It helps us immensely to secure our classroom sections.  New neighbors? Spread the word! Enrollment is happening now.  School offices are open through June. Registration will continue through July in the District Office at 1050 Ivy Hall Lane, Buffalo Grove.  Also, if you haven't registered your son or daughter and are planning on attending next year, please do so right away. Thank you!
