5th - 8th Grade Band Extravaganza Concert
The 5th - 8th-grade band extravaganza concert will take place on Thursday, May 16 at 7:00 PM in the Twin Groves Gym. Cadet Band Students (5th Grade) need to be at the concert by 6:15 PM to rehearse in the gym. Students should bring their iPad, instrumental book, and a folding stand. Percussionists will need to bring their xylophone and Drum pad and both sets of sticks. Parents will be entertained before the concert by students in the Honor Band in the cafeteria. The concert will last one hour in length and is a great representation of the band program 5-8 grade. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Notice of Scheduled Weed Control Treatment
On Sat., May 11, 2019, the District's landscape contractor will treat grassy areas adjacent to all District properties. (The back-up date for weather delay is Sat., May 18, 2019.)
The District uses Integrated Pest Management–a program that combines preventive techniques, non-chemical methods (such as bait traps), and the appropriate use of pesticides (with a preference for products least harmful to human health and the environment).

Community Day - Friday, May 24, 2019
Community Day is an opportunity for you to spend time with your child(ren) in their classroom. Students will showcase work that they are proud of and spend time with you in a specials class (Art, Exploration Lab, Music, or PE) they selected. There will also be a social-emotional learning activity. Below is our schedule for the day.
If you plan to join us for this fun event, please RSVP HERE and we will preprint your visitor’s badge. If you have never had your driver’s license scanned, please stop by the office before the event to get your license scanned and to avoid standing in long lines waiting for a visitor’s badge.

1. Attention All Current and Incoming Prairie Parents: Now is the time to sign up for next year’s PTO! Please sign up for Executive Board and Committee Head positions on Membership Toolkit by 4/23. We need as much help as we can get to ensure that all of the wonderful things that our PTO does for our school will continue next year.
