Wax Museum
Thanks to all the parents and family members who were able to come out for the 3rd grade Wax Museum event today. It was wonderful you were able to join us and get to see the kids perform their research projects.
4th and 5th Grade Orchestra Extravaganza Concert
The 4th and 5th Orchestra Extravaganza Concert will take place on Thursday, May 9th at 6:30pm at Twin Groves. The concert will take place in the Large Gym. Students need to arrive at Twin Groves in their concert attire by no later than 5:30pm for tuning and warm-up. It is going to be a fantastic concert! We look forward to seeing you there!
5th - 8th Grade Band Extravaganza Concert
The 5th - 8th grade band extravaganza concert will take place on Thursday, May 16 at 7:00 PM in the Twin Groves Gym. Cadet Band Students (5th Grade) need to be at the concert by 6:15 PM to rehearse in the gym. Students should bring their iPad, instrumental book, and a folding stand. Percussionists will need to bring their xylophone and Drum pad and both sets of sticks. Parents will be entertained before the concert by students in the Honor Band in the cafeteria. The concert will last one hour in length and is a great representation of the band program 5-8 grade. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Band and Orchestra party on May 15 at Bowlero
If you have not signed your student up for the band and orchestra party at Bowlero yet, do so today. Go online to the Music Booster Portal and sign up. It is a well-organized fun party and a great reward for the current band and orchestra students.
Grades 3–5 Invited to Stevenson Math Carnival–Thurs., May 9th
The Stevenson High School Math Department and SHS Math Team invite all our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and their families. The event will take place on Thursday, May 9th, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the “point” entrance of Stevenson High School. This opportunity for fun and challenge gives 3rd-5th graders positive math experiences as they play games designed and staffed by Stevenson freshmen. The goal of the event is to create a positive memory of math for young members of the community. Participants will play games, win math bucks, and change them into prizes!

1. Attention All Current and Incoming Prairie Parents: Now is the time to sign up for next year’s PTO! Please sign up for Executive Board and Committee Head positions on MTK. We need as much help as we can get to ensure that all of the wonderful things that our PTO does for our school will continue next year.
2. Staff Appreciation Week: Have you donated for NATIONAL TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK? We have a few items left on our list or just $7.00 will provide a lunch for a teacher. Visit your Membership Toolkit to donate.
3. School Supplies: Avoid the shopping hassles and store crowds and purchase your Prairie school supply kits now! Each kit is only $55 and includes headphones, which can cost $20 alone! Supply kits are on sale now through June 1st. Orders can only be placed online via the Membership Toolkit. Kits will be available to be picked up on Meet the Teacher Day in the fall.
