Culture Fair
Our Culture Fair was amazing!!! Thank you to all the families who sponsored a cultural classroom, artifact table, food tasting, or performance. The time, energy, and resources that you put into sharing your culture with the Prairie School Community are incredibly appreciated.
We had a great turn out for the event with tons of positive feedback from the attendees whose numbers were likely over 300 people. We had several student performances including Kung Fu, Bollywood Dancing, Singing, and a Chinese fashion show that was just too cute. It was great to learn so much about each other!

SMART Watches & Other Distractions
Many SMART watches have similar capabilities to SMART phones (game, voice, and text capabilities). If a SMART watch becomes a distraction, it will be confiscated from the student so that they are able to focus on learning. Essentially, we will treat the SMART watches like a cell phone.
Author’s Visit
Prairie School is so fortunate to have Jeff Weigel visit our school in May. He is an illustrator, author and designer of children’s books, graphic novels, and comics. He is currently the artist for the Sunday newspaper comic strip, The Phantom. Books will be available for purchase and autographs. If you are interested in purchasing a book, please send this form to Prairie by April 9th.
Principal’s Message for March 29th
The Principal’s Message will be on Spring Break too on Friday, March 29th. It’ll be back on Friday, April 5th.
PTO Points
- Attention All Current and Incoming Prairie Parents: Now is the time to sign up for next year’s PTO! Please sign up for Executive Board and Committee Head positions on Membership Toolkit by 4/23. We need as much help as we can get to ensure that all of the wonderful things that our PTO does for our school will continue next year.
- 5th Grade Girls Night out is April 10th at Twin Groves School from 6:30 to 8:00pm. $10 includes pizza, water, and a special gift! Dancing and games provided by Bizar Entertainment.
- School Supply kits are on sale now! School Supply kits are on sale now for all Prairie Students! 5th-grade parents...it's time to start thinking about Twin Groves!
