No School Monday, May 28th - Memorial Day

Half Day Friday, June 1st - Dismissal at 11:45 am

Busy & Fun Week

We had a very busy week this week.  Thursday was Field Day, which is always a super hit with the kids.  The weather could not have been more perfect. The fields were still a bit “squishy” so we hope to get the 5th grade vs. staff kickball game in on the last day of school.  On Friday, we all enjoyed Community Day. The morning was really fun with a mixture of academics, team building, and a specials class highlight. Thanks to all family members who were able to attend!

Summer Goal-Setting OPTION for Elementary Students

District 96 students do a lot of learning during the school year! The National Summer Learning Association reports that students can lose up to 3 months of academic learning in a summer, however. Why not keep the learning going by helping your student set and work to meet goals for math and literacy learning in ways that are fun and interesting?

Parents interested in this optional opportunity for their child will find lots of engaging activities on THIS WEBSITE and can use THIS FORM to help their student set goals and track progress.

Registration for the 2018-2019 School Year

Please help us secure our section numbers (number of classrooms) for all grade levels by registering now. The faster parents register, the earlier new positions can be hired. We sincerely appreciate your help to secure new positions as early as possible. Section numbers are completely based upon enrollment. We cannot depend on your child being here unless he/she has been registered.

As new families move into your neighborhoods, please remind them to register as soon as possible for school.  Prairie School is open through June 30th and reopens August 1st. The District Office is open all summer, including July, and registration can be done through the District Office for new families. Thank you for helping us enroll all of our students as promptly as possible.

Lost & Found

Please remind your child to check out the lost and found, which is located in the MPR.  Everything has been laid out on tables for students to more easily see items. On the last day of school, all remaining items will be donated.
