PRAIRIE LEARNING CENTER ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM MRS. SPIVACK

Check out the new Prairie School Learning Center website. On this website, you will find information about library check out, our new Makerspace class, and much much more.

I am also very excited to announce our new Facebook page. If you are already on Facebook, please search for the group called,  "Prairie School Learning Center". I would love to see the membership grow to include all our Prairie Families. This group is closed and all members will be approved by me, therefore, it will take a few days for the process to be complete.

Thinking of a clever way to celebrate your child's birthday or other family events? How about joining our Prairie Celebrates Book Club! It's easy to do! Make a donation of $15 to the library in your child's name. We will ask him/her to come choose a book from a large selection of hardcover books. Next, we will add a nameplate with your child's name into the book. Then we will post a picture in the library! Children will be able to share in the joy of reading in your child's name for years to come. Information can be found here.

PRAIRIE PUMA LEADERSHIP COUNCIL

The Prairie Puma Leadership Council is having their informational meeting Tuesday, August 29th. All 4th and 5th grade students interested should report to Mrs. Doherty's room at 7:45. This club, previously known as Student Council, is searching for students ready to make a difference in our Prairie Community. This year the program will be focused on being positive leaders in the school, hosting fundraisers, and creating fun activities that all students will enjoy. If your child would like to learn more about the application process, he/she must attend the meeting on Tuesday. Please email Mrs. Doherty or Miss Hanes with any questions.
