Welcome back, D96 Families!

Blink … and blink again!

Yes, summer is almost gone ~ which means it’s time for a return to the rigors of reading, writing and arithmetic!

We hope you enjoyed your children while they were on break from school and hope to excite you about their first day back, August 17 (a half-day).

Please take note of the following Back-to-School events:

 

Coming Up

  • Friday, August 11:  New Family Tour, Grades 1-5  (2 to 2:45 p.m.)
  • Sunday, August 13:  Twin Groves Uniform Try-On  (at Twin Groves, time TBA)
  • Wednesday, August 16:  Meet the Teacher
    • Grades 1-5: 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
    • EC & Kindergarten:  10 to 11:00 a.m.
  • Wednesday, August 16:  New Family Orientation, Grades 6-8  (4 to 4:30 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, August 16:  Locker Set Up, Grades 6-8:  4:30 to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, August 17:  First Day of School (half day)
    • ECSE/Blended dismiss at 11:10 a.m.
    • Only ECSE/Blended AM attend, 8:40 to 11:10 a.m.
    • KDG and Structured dismiss at 11:45 a.m.
    • Grades 1-5 dismiss at 11:45 a.m.
    • Grades 6-8 dismiss at 11:10 a.m.
  • Tuesday, August 22:  Board of Education Meeting (7 p.m., Mat Room, Ivy Hall ES)
