Spring Fling 'Thank You'
Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this year’s Spring Fling event. To all of the Spring Fling Volunteers and Committee Chair Members …"Thank you' for making it such an enjoyable event for our students. We truly appreciate and thank you for all of your efforts and time dedicated to make it a successful event.
School Supply Kits Available for Ordering
It’s time to place your School Supply Kit orders for the 2024-25 school year! School Supply Kits can be purchased now thru July 9, 2024 at http://www.educationalproducts.com/.
Orders are placed directly with our vendor, EPI. ALL supply kits will be delivered directly to your home.

Staff Appreciation Week is May 6 to 10!
Help Us thank the Woodlawn staff! We are thankful every day for the wonderful classroom teachers, elective teachers, coaches, office staff, specialists, support staff and custodians at Woodlawn!
Staff Appreciation Week is May 6 to 10, and we have some special “Spring Themed” things in store for them.
New Parent Coffee: May 14
For all incoming 6th Grade parents and anyone new to Woodlawn for the upcoming 2024-25 upcoming school year: Join us Tuesday, May 14, at 8:45 a.m. Arrive and enjoy coffee with fellow parents to learn more about the fun programs supported and funded by the PTO.
Tours will begin at 9:45 a.m. Make connections with other parents and learn more about opportunities to be involved in your child’s school experience. Please let any friends with incoming 6th graders know about this program. We look forward to meeting you.
PTO General Meeting: May 14
Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for our Spring General Meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14. Join your PTO Executive Board, Principals, and other PTO members to learn more about what your PTO has planned for the remainder of this academic year and next year. The General Meeting will be held in the Woodlawn School Learning Center.
PTO Lunch Day: May 16
On Thursday, May 16, all students will enjoy a lunch, provided courtesy of the PTO, to celebrate the end of the school year. There will be a volunteer sign-up on MTK, as we get closer to the event.

We would like to offer GiftCrowd as an easy virtual way for parents and students to show appreciation to our school teachers and staff. The deadline for joining gifts is at 12 a.m. (America/Chicago/GMT) June 1, 2024.

How Does It Work?
GiftCrowd will present you with a list of all Woodlawn teachers and staff.
Click on “Join” next to the teacher or staff member you wish to give a gift. Enter your name as you'd like it to be displayed to the teacher and your email address. You are welcome to include a personal greeting as well as upload a photo and/or format your greeting as you wish!
Now you can leverage the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on GiftCrowd to create personalized greetings for your gifts. GiftCrowd will suggest unique and thoughtful greetings that are tailored to the recipient. Enter your contribution amount of choice ($2 and up) and click “Add to Cart.”
Repeat this process for all the teachers and staff members you wish to gift. Then, enter your payment information and click on “Place your Order” to complete your transaction. On June 1, 2024, every gift recipient will receive an email indicating the total gift amount they received, together with personal greetings from all the contributors.
Each teacher and staff member will then be able to redeem his or her gift by selecting gift cards from hundreds of leading brands, including Amazon, Target, Walmart, Sephora, Nike, Visa and many other fashion, travel, electronics, furniture and DIY stores, as well as restaurants and entertainment chains.
The deadline for joining gifts is at 12 a.m. June 1, 2024 (America/Chicago).

Gym Clothes
A school requirement, gym clothes must be purchased through the PTO on Membership Toolkit. Orders placed will be distributed to students during their gym class.

Dessert Day
Our April Dessert Days are April 5 and April 26. Students have the option to place an order to receive a special treat during their lunch hours. Have you placed your child’s order? Order deadline to receive for each month is at least three days prior to the Dessert Day date.
Volunteers needed: We have two dessert days a month this year. Would you like to help the PTO serve dessert to students during lunch hours? Sign up on Membership Toolkit to volunteer at Dessert Day.
Special Lunch
Our Special Lunch from Papa Johns Pizza is Friday, April 12. Students have the option to place an order to receive lunch from an outside vendor during their lunch hours. Order deadline for each month is the 15th of the preceding month. (Order by April 15 for May Special Lunch.)
