STAY SAFE & HEALTHY!!!

Dear Woodlawn PTO parents, students, and families,
We hope you are staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times!

We would like to thank all Woodlawn teachers, staff, and administration for their tremendous efforts during this time in supporting and maintaining our children's education and in helping to keep a sense of normalcy and routine.

Currently, under our mandated school closure, we had to cancel or postpone many of our PTO events and programs. Adjusting day by day to our new routines and new normal, we want you to know the Woodlawn PTO is still meeting (virtually) and planning for current events as well as thinking ahead to planning many of the 2020-2021 school year events and programs. We look forward to when we can all be together again as our Woodlawn family.

We hope you continue to take a few minutes to read the PTO blog for updates. Please feel welcome to direct questions to Co-Presidents Laura LaCroix and Holly Krull.

GRADE 8 GRADUATION LAWN SIGNS

As a way to honor our graduating 8th graders, the Woodlawn PTO has partnered with Creative Edge Printing to bring you "Class of 2020" yard signs for your 8th graders. Please order directly through Creative Edge. CLICK HERE TO ORDER

The PTO will cover a portion of the cost of the signs. The final cost to parents is $10 each. ORDER DEADLINE IS APR. 26. Signs will be delivered directly to your home in mid-May.

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK

Since we cannot hold regularly planned activities this year for Staff Appreciation Week, PTO co-vice presidents are brainstorming ideas to honor and appreciate our teachers virtually. If you are interested in helping with a handmade sign, note, selfie, or video, please contact Elisha Magnifico and Jen Wehrspann by APRIL 24 to receive further details how your student can participate.

REFUNDS FOR CANCELLED PTO EVENTS/PROGRAMS

The Executive Board is working with all District 96 PTO Boards and the Coordinating Council to determine how to handle refunds for canceled PTO events. Once we know the full extent of the mandated school closure, we will provide an update via our PTO Blog. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

In closing, we hope you continue to enjoy family time, stay connected, be well, and remain safe. The PTO Blog is updated monthly; however, please stay tuned, as we will provide updates as they are received.
