Summer Goal Setting OPTION for Elementary Students (New)

District 96 students do a lot of learning during the school year! The National Summer Learning Association reports that students can lose up to 3 months of academic learning in a summer, however. Why not keep the learning going by helping your student set and work to meet goals for math and literacy learning in ways that are fun and interesting?

Parents interested in this optional opportunity for their child will find lots of engaging activities on THIS WEBSITE and can use THIS FORM to help their student set goals and track progress.

Field Day (New)

End-of-Year Medication Pick-up (New)

Please be reminded that no medications will be sent home with students. This includes all prescriptions and nonprescription medication. If you wish to have your child's medication, please come to the health office the last week of school to pick up the medication. Any medication not picked up by the last day of school, will be destroyed in accordance with District 96 policy.

Please remember to complete a new MEDICATION AUTHORIZATION FORM for the coming year if your child will need medication at school, including the allergy action plan, if applicable. Forms can be found on the District 96 website. If you have any questions, please contact the Ivy Hall building nurse, Mrs. Adinolfi.

Registration for the 2018-2019 School Year (New)
Please help us secure our section numbers (number of classrooms) for all grade levels by registering now. The faster parents register, the earlier new positions can be hired. We sincerely appreciate your help to secure new positions as early as possible. Section numbers are completely based upon enrollment. We cannot depend on your child being here unless he/she has been registered.

As new families move into your neighborhoods, please remind them to register as soon as possible for school. Ivy Hall School is open through June 30th and reopens August 1st. The District Office is open all summer, including July, and registration can be done through the District Office for new families. Thank you for helping us enroll all of our students as promptly as possible.

Summer Reading for Student Growth (Repeat)

Having students continue to read during the summer when school is not in session is extremely important to their academic growth and to prevent them from losing academic progress. Because our goal is to have our students continue to read for pleasure, we offer grade-level-specific book suggestion lists of various genres to appeal to a variety of interests. Also, grade levels have assigned specific activities as well as a student interest inventory to complete and return at the beginning of the school year. Please CLICK HERE to find your student's parent letter (including required grade-level activity), book suggestions, and reader interest inventory, listed by 2018-2019 grade level.

Questions? Please contact the school office.
