Thank You!
The feeling around the building has been absolutely magical as you visited us to enjoy conferences, hosted by your very own child! It was a treat to watch you spend time together in our school and see the excitement and pride of families throughout the experience. Thank you for attending and always being so supportive!
Thank you, also, to the PTO for organizing the baseball-themed dinner for faculty on Thursday. It was delicious! The theme was a nice reminder that spring is hopefully not too far away! Thank you so much for filling our tummies and warming our hearts!
Let Us Hear From You!
This week we have two opportunities we'd love to hear from you about:
Conference Feedback - We thank you for participating in Collaborative Family/Educator Conferences. In order to celebrate success and make improvements to conferences, we ask you to share your feedback briefly with us no later than 3 p.m. on Mar. 22. Thank you!
SHARE YOUR CONFERENCE FEEDBACK
Family Feedback Opportunity - Your voice matters in our work at District 96! Please take a moment to read the SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE to participate in our survey and share what you feel makes a school district premier. Simply click “Continue” to begin–NO log-in or sign-in needed!
Lost and Found
We set out lost and found items for parents to check over conferences. We'll keep items until Spring Break. We will be donating all remaining items to charity over Spring Break. Please stop by the school if you'd like to take a peek for your little one's lost items.
Internet Safety
By now you are likely aware of an Internet safety concern that has surfaced called Momo.
The “Momo Challenge/Game” begins with the recipient receiving a notification or watching a video which includes an image of a scary face/statue. The recipient is urged to perform potentially dangerous acts through intimidation techniques.
There is an attached flyer put out by the National Online Safety Institute regarding this challenge.
This is a good reminder that all of us need to remember the importance of internet safety. No filter is 100% effective. Today we are addressing Momo, however tomorrow it may be something else. Being responsible and diligent regarding best practices around the use of technology is a practice that all can benefit from. Common Sense Media is a great resource for any human being that uses the internet. There is a link to Common Sense Media also included below.
