Bilingual Parent Advisory Council (BPAC)

GOAL:
Support programs that serve English Learners (ELs) and advocate for the development of bilingual and biliterate students.

The Kildeer Countryside School District 96 (KCSD96) Bilingual Parent Advisory Council provides family support, information, communication, and learning activities that help ensure students have equal access to education as they grow into global citizens.

School districts with Transitional Bilingual Education (TBE) programs are required to establish a Bilingual Parent Advisory Council. Parents or legal guardians of students enrolled in these programs, teachers, administrators, and other community members comprise the majority of BPAC.

The committee meets at least four times annually and participates in planning, operation, and evaluation of programs.
