2018 Band & Orchestra "End-of-Year" Party – Wed., May 16, 2018

Please join us at 

for the District 96 Band & Orchestra Student "End-of-the-Year" Party! This party celebrates all the hard work, dedication, and superb performances of all our Grades 4–8 band and orchestra students this school year! The party will be held on Wed., May 16, at Bowlero in Buffalo Grove from 3 – 6 PM and we have exclusive use of the facility. Included in the party will be Unlimited Bowling, 1 Game of Laser Tag, Food & Drinks, and Unlimited Arcade Games!

The cost per student is $20 and reservations are required! The deadline to sign up is Fri., May 4. More detailed information and the permission form to sign up to attend are located in the DISTRICT 96 BAND & ORCHESTRA MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT.

After-Concert Socials– Concert Schedule, Treat Preorder Forms, and Volunteer Info
Please join the Boosters for an after-concert social immediately following these 2018 concerts. 

  • Band Concert–Thurs., May 10, featuring Grade 5 Country Meadows/Kildeer students and Grades 6–8 Woodlawn students. Woodlawn, 7 p.m.
  • Orchestra Concert–Mon., May 14, featuring Grades 4–5 orchestra students from Country Meadows/Kildeer and Grades 6–8 from Woodlawn. Woodlawn, 7 p.m.

Treats can be preordered through the BOOSTER MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT approximately 3 weeks prior to each concert. Socials feature treats from Culver's (vanilla ice cream and lemon ice sundaes) and Original Bagel & Bialy (decorated cookies). Questions? Contact Donna Cobb

Booster General Meeting on Wed., Apr. 25
The Boosters will hold their final general meeting of the 2017–2018 school year on Wed., Apr. 25, 2018, at 6:30 PM in the Woodlawn Middle School Band Room. This meeting is open to the public. All Booster members in good standing may be present to vote on agenda action items that include the approval of the 2018–2019 operating budget and nominations for the 2018–2019 Board of Directors.


Volunteers Needed for Board of Directors

  • Thurs., May 10, 7 PM: 5th- through 8th-grade band students from Country Meadows, Kildeer, and Woodlawn present their Spring Concert at Woodlawn Middle School. An After-Concert Social immediately follows the concert.
  • Thurs., May 10, 6:30 PM: 4th- and 5th-grade orchestra students from Ivy Hall and Prairie present their Extravaganza Concert at Twin Groves Middle School.

Concert Polo Shirts


Online polo shirt sales are closed for the 2017–18 school year. If your student needs a new polo shirt for concerts this school year, please contact your student's director to ask if any extra shirts in stock at school can be purchased. Please know that not all sizes are guaranteed to be in stock and some shirts may be gently used.


Booster Membership and Donations
The Boosters wish to thank all the parents who generously donated to our organization by becoming Booster members for the 2017–2018 school year! Funds donated will greatly enhance and make a meaningful difference to the band and orchestra programs and the students who participate in them. Donors will be acknowledged in the upcoming band and orchestra concert programs.
