2018 IGSMA Recital–Volunteers Needed
On Wed., Feb. 7, the 2018 IGSMA (Illinois Grade School Music Association) Recital will be held at Twin Groves Middle School from 7–8 PM. The District 96 Band & Orchestra Boosters help coordinate the volunteers and planning for this wonderful event. This recital is for District 96 students who are participating in the upcoming IGSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest on Sat., Feb. 10, at Antioch Upper Grade School in Antioch, IL. At this recital, students will perform their solo and/or ensemble pieces for an audience of family, friends, and peers, providing opportunity to practice performing for the contest, as well as playing for an audience. Band, orchestra, and choral students from all District 96 schools will attend.

Volunters needed to help at this recital. Jobs available include event set-up and tear-down, performance room hosts and videographers, info desk help and guides, and after-recital reception. After-Concert Socials– Concert Schedule, Treat Preorder Forms, and Volunteer Info
Please join the Boosters for an after-concert social immediately following these 2018 concerts. Treats can be preordered through the BOOSTER MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT approximately 3 weeks prior to each concert. General Meeting
The Boosters will hold their next general meeting on Wed., Jan. 31, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. at Twin Groves Middle School. This meeting is open to the public. 


Volunteers Needed for Board of Directors/Officers
The Boosters are seeking parents from the Ivy Hall/Prairie/Twin Groves side of the District who might be interested in joining our Board of Directors, as well as holding the office of co-president. Parents must be a Booster Member in good standing. Find more info on our MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT.


Stevenson High School String Parents Association (SPA)
Welcome middle school orchestra parents! We're the parents of the SHS String Parents Association (SPA) and we look forward to meeting you at the Consortium Concert on Thurs., Jan. 18. We'll be there looking for you before and after the concert.

Stop by our table to have your questions answered from a parent's perspective. You also can learn about joining SPA; volunteer and chaperone opportunities; and the many benefits for you and your students. And–we will be selling the World's Finest Chocolates ($1 each) in support of our students' Spring Break Performance Trip to Italy. You'll also see samples of formal wear and polos your students will wear at concerts.

  • Wed., Jan. 17, 7 p.m.: 4th- and 5th-grade orchestra students from Ivy Hall and Prairie present their Winter Concert at Twin Groves Middle School. An After-Concert Social immediately follows the concert.
  • Wed., Jan. 24, 7 p.m.: 4th- and 5th-grade orchestra students from Country Meadows and Kildeer present their Winter Concert at Woodlawn Middle School.
  • Tues., Feb. 13, 7 p.m.: 5th-grade band students from Ivy Hall and Prairie and 6th-grade band students from Twin Groves present their Winter Concert at Twin Groves Middle School. An After-Concert Social immediately follows the concert.
  • Wed., Feb. 21, 7 p.m.: 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade orchestra students from Woodlawn present their Winter Concert at Woodlawn Middle School.
  • Thurs., Feb. 22, 7 p.m.: 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade band students from Woodlawn present their Winter Concert at Woodlawn Middle School.

Concert Polo Shirts

Online polo shirt sales are closed for the 2017–18 school year. If your student needs a new polo shirt for concerts this school year, please contact your student's director to ask if any extra shirts in stock at school can be purchased. Please know that not all sizes are guaranteed to be in stock and some shirts may be gently used.


Booster Membership and Donations
The Boosters wish to thank all the parents who generously donated to our organization by becoming Booster members!  Funds donated will greatly enhance and make a meaningful difference to the band and orchestra programs and the students who participate in them. Donors will be acknowledged in the upcoming band and orchestra concert programs.
