Welcome back after Spring Break! We hope you all had a wonderful week off school. We’re excited to share all our events this month!
1st and 2nd Grade Movie Night!
The 1st and 2nd Grade Movie Night is Friday, April 14, from 6:30 to-8:30 p.m. 
Our committee is currently working out the details for this fun-filled evening, coming this April. You don't want to miss out on Movie Night!! Please keep in mind:
The movie will begin promptly at 6:45 p.m. Drop-off is at 6:30 p.m. inside the school.
NO BLANKETS, STUFFED ANIMALS, OR PILLOWS WILL BE PERMITTED. You may bring your own seat cushion as long as it is not plush/cloth. Seat cushions are available to purchase on our Membership Toolkit.
- Pick-up is promptly at 8:30 p.m. inside the school.
- You must be present to sign your child in and out.
- This is a drop-off event. No walk-ins will be permitted. This event is ONLY for Kildeer 1st- and 2nd-grade students No siblings will be allowed to stay.

Spring Book Fair: April 17 to 20
The Spring Book Fair runs from Monday, April 17, to Thursday, April 20, from 8:40 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. each day and open from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, during our Kindergarten/1st Grade Evening Story Time.

- E-wallet (please see the flier attached to the Scholastic Book Fair flyer your children will receive on Monday)
(PLEASE NOTE: THIS YEAR ~ LIKE IN THE PRIOR TWO YEARS ~ WE WILL NEED TO CHARGE SALES TAX!) We are sorry for any inconvenience and confusion this may cause; however, we should have been charging tax all along. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Building Classroom Libraries
Each year, teachers pick out new books to help build their classroom libraries for children to enjoy! If you wish to donate to your child’s classroom library, you may send extra money, and a parent volunteer will help your child choose a book for your teacher. Thank you for your support!
Kindergarten and 1st Grade Evening Story Time
Calling all incoming and current 1st graders: Please Join us for a night of reading fun, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at Kildeer Countryside School.
Kindergarten students, who will be attending Kildeer Countryside next year (2023-24), can visit the school with their parents and meet the current (2022-23)1st grade teachers! Current 1st graders can share their classrooms and show our future students how much fun it is to be a Kildeer Cougar!
Current 1st graders, please wear your favorite Cougar wear and let’s show our new families our Cougar pride!! Kindergarteners, please wear your favorite Willow Grove wear so we can make sure to know who will soon be a part of our Kildeer family!
Doors will open at 6 p.m. Our Spring Book Fair will be open in the small gym to families from 6 to 8 p.m. Evening Storytime will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the library.

Fifth Grade Night Out: April 28 at Woodlawn Middle School
The Kildeer and Country Meadows PTOs are hosting a joint event for all 5th graders on Friday, April 28.
At this event, students will have a chance to get to know one another, have fun with team-building games, and enjoy treats. 
We will mix students from both schools so our 5th graders will have an opportunity to meet their new future 6th-grade classmates. Details are currently in the works but be sure to mark the date in your calendars.
This is an event your 5th grader will not want to miss!
