This year has felt like it has flown by! It has been a wonderful year, and we can’t thank all the volunteers who helped make all the events possible! We have a long list of events coming up, so please be sure to read through and see what the PTO has in store in the last months ahead…

Kindergarten and 1st Grade Evening Story Time
Calling all incoming and current 1st graders! Please Join us for a night of reading fun ~ WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Kildeer Countryside School.
Kindergarten students, who will be attending Kildeer Countryside next year (2022-2023), can visit the school with their parents and meet the current (2021-2022)1st grade teachers. Current 1st graders can share their classrooms and show our future students how much fun it is to be a Kildeer Cougar.
Current 1st graders, please wear your favorite Cougar wear, and let’s show our new families our Cougar Pride! Kindergarteners, please wear your favorite Willow Grove wear so we can make sure to know who will soon be a part of our Kildeer family.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. Our Spring Book Fair will be open in the small gym to families from 6 to 8 p.m. Evening Storytime will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the library.

1st and 2nd Grade Movie Night: Friday April 8th (5:30-7:30)!
PTO is proud to host 1st and 2nd grade movie night on April 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Doors open at 5:30 and this is a Pre-Order event ONLY. You can sign up through Membership Toolkit ~ www.kildeercountrysidepto.membershiptoolkitcom.
NOTE: You must drop your child off inside of the school (no drop-offs) and sign them in as well; when picking up your child, you must also come into the school and sign out your child. Students can bring a cushioned seat to sit on inside the Learning Center, but NO stuffed animals, blankets or pillows can be brought into school.

Spring Book Fair: April 18 - 22
Our in-person Spring Book Fair is back and bigger than ever! Be on the lookout for your students favorite book list and watch for schedules on when your child is headed to our Book Fair. Our Book Fair will also be open during Evening Storytime on Wednesday, April 20th from 6 to 7 pm. Parents are welcome to at that time to purchase books with their students. Please be on the lookout soon for a chance to volunteer during this week to help students finding books, you can also purchase at that time too!
5th Grade Night Out: Mark Your Calendars
Our volunteer team has been working hard to make the 5th Grade Night Out so wonderful! Please mark your calendars for our annual 5th Grade Night Out. This is a night where the 5th grade students from Country Meadows and Kildeer come together and are introduced to each other, as well as be able to get a sneak peek of their new school!
Here are the details:
Date: Friday, April 29, 2022
Time: The event is from 6 to 8 p.m., registration on the day will begin at 5:30 to ensure all activities can begin at 6 p.m. sharp.
Location: Woodlawn Middle School
Event Details: Students will be participating in team-building activities at Woodlawn Middle School in an attempt to become more familiar with one another as they embark on the transition to middle school.
Community Give Back: Boxes are out!
District 96 is collaborating with other Lake County School Districts to collect emergency items for the refugees from Ukraine. Please check out the flyer above for specific items. Boxes are provided inside the school's entrances. Thank you for all of your support!
