STAFF AND TEACHER APPRECIATION IS COMING UP!
We will be celebrating the wonderful educators and staff at Kildeer the week of May 3 to 7. The PTO is currently at work planning a special celebration for all the amazing teachers and staff at Kildeer each day of that week.
Donate a lunch. Have you ever wanted to buy lunch for your student's teacher, custodian or office administration to thank them for all of the hard work they do to assist our kids every day? Now is your chance! For every $10 donation, we will be able to purchase one boxed lunch for a Kildeer staff member. You can also leave a general message of appreciation for ALL staff members with your purchase. Go to Membership toolkit HERE.
Decorate a sign. Feeling creative? Decorate a sign to show your appreciation. All signs can be dropped off to a PTO member at Kildeer school (by the main entry doors) from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 2. Drop off your sign, and we will hang some outside and a few inside the building.
Email message or artwork. Want to get a message out but want to stay virtual? Email a message, photo or drawing for any teacher or staff member or compose a general message to all Staff to [email protected] and we will make sure it gets printed and displayed.

Looking for something fun to do? Why not purchase a Kildeer Cookie or Rice Crispy kit from Original Bagel and Bialy through the PTO? The kits come with 3 medium cookies or Rice Krispy Treats, 3 frostings and 2 sprinkles (more fun with more options)! Order now through May 22 on our Membership Toolkit HERE.

The PTO will also be giving away a $25 dollar gift card from Original Bagel and Bialy to one lucky family who purchases a kit. We will randomly draw a name on May 5th (Spring Kit) and on May 26th (Graduation Kit), and you can pick up your gift card when you pick up your ordered kits.
Spring Flower Kits available to order for only $15!
Looking for a fun activity to do with your child this spring? Maybe a gift for someone special in their life? These spring Flower kits are a fun way to celebrate that spring is finally here. There will be 2 separate deadlines and pickups.
- First Deadline is May 1: These kits will be available for pickup at Kildeer on Thursday, May 6, from 8-3 p.m.
- Second Deadline is May 15: These kits will be available for pickup at Kildeer on Thursday, May 20, from 8-3 p.m.

5TH GRADE END-OF-YEAR EVENTS
5th Grade Night Out 5/13
This will be a virtual event from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 13 ~ hosted by Howard Wallach "DJ Game Show Host Musicologist" from AZ Entertainment. This event will include both Country Meadows and Kildeer 5th graders. The kids will get to interact with each other and be entertained. A Woodlawn-themed gift will be available for pickup on the day of the event. In-person students will receive it in class, and remote students can pick up the gift in the entryway of Kildeer any time between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
5th Grade Parade 5/27
A fun car parade all about our 5th graders!!! The parade date will be Thursday, May 27. (More information will be sent out soon with exact time of this event.). Parents can drive their 5th graders through the Kildeer parking lot and honk, wave and celebrate with their peers, teachers and staff members and pose for an “in car” photo op under the balloon arches. We will have music playing, yard signs displayed and volunteers will be handing out Woodlawn Sweatshirts at the end of the parade. (Yard signs will be available to pick up after June 3.)
5th Grade Transition Day 6/2
This event will take place during school the afternoon of June 2nd. This will be a fun afternoon of playing games and celebrating the end-of-the-year. Students will receive these PTO-organized transition goodie bag, consisting of a Woodlawn-drawstring bag, Woodlawn T-shirt and other end-of-year surprises/goodies. In-person students will receive it in class, and remote students' parents can pick up the gift in the entryway of Kildeer any time between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 2.

Now available for sale are these adorable Kildeer Knitted Blankets for $45. These blankets are large ~ 63 inches-by-63 inches with Kildeer's logo in the center. They are a great knit quality, thick and comfy!
SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS for the 2021–2022 School Year
We're pleased to announce that we are again offering the convenient services of School Supply Kits for the 2021–22 school year! Our vendor will deliver your kit(s) straight to your home! Rather than PTO volunteers handling these orders, SchoolKidz staff will handle all aspects of your order–including your questions about ordering from their website and free shipping direct to your home. The opportunity to place your order will begin May 3rd, 2021.

Funds raised were used to purchase Holiday gifts and will be used for End Of year Gifts for all Kildeer Teachers and Staff. BOX TOPS COLLECTION IS ONGOING!
Help the PTO earn funds to purchase supplies for our school by sending in your Box Tops! Box Tops can be found on many household products, including General Mills, Ziploc, Annie's, and many more! We are NOT currently accepting physical Box Tops, however there is an easier way to collect box tops. ***New this year: download the "Box Tops for Education" app and scan your receipts to submit Box Tops electronically! Membership Toolkit Instructions – Sign Up Today!!
The PTO uses an online database system called Membership Toolkit to organize our school activities. This system will better assist us in conducting business, organizing our volunteers, and streamlining our communications to you. Plus, parents can pay for events by credit card and easily view what they have purchased!
** A friendly reminder regarding Membership Toolkit: Please be sure you Complete the Checkout Process by hitting “PLACE ORDER." A receipt will pop up on Membership Toolkit immediately after you place your order, and then you will be emailed a copy of the receipt shortly thereafter. If you do not receive a receipt, then your order wasn’t placed!

- Click here to access our Kildeer PTO Membership Toolkit webpage. If you have already created an account to order school supplies for the 2020-2021 school year, your account is still valid. Just log in! If you are new to the Kildeer PTO Membership Toolkit, create an account using your personal email address.
- Update your Family Information from the link on the homepage. Validate your family contact information and update the current grade level for each of your students at Kildeer this 2021–22 school year. If your former Kildeer student has moved on to Woodlawn Middle School, click the box to indicate that he or she is no longer a Kildeer student.

PTO COMMITMENT TO KILDEER
The Kildeer PTO is committed to supporting Kildeer staff, students, and community during this very difficult time. We are devoting efforts to programs and events that promote community and connectedness during the 2020–21 school year. As such, we will prioritize donated funds on the following:
- to support students in new and creative ways
- to recognize and support teachers and staff
- to support the school by purchasing needed Wish List items
This year your donations are more important than ever, as the PTO will continue to support as many programs as possible without the income-generating programs we normally offer.
