A Big Thank You...
Thank you to all the parent volunteers who came out and helped with Book Fair and Ice Cream and Pizza Social!! Both fundraisers were a big success and it was wonderful for our school community to come together and connect as a group! A big shout-out to our amazing teachers and staff who came out to support the PTO, as well. We are so lucky to be part of such a great school community! We had so many wonderful events this past month, it sure made September fly by, and, of course, we couldn't have put on all these amazing events without your help and support, so THANK YOU!!!
Room Parent Update
We were so lucky to have an overwhelming number of volunteers for Room Parent and Classroom Parties. Thank you to everyone who indicated interest in helping. Unfortunately, we can have only one room parent per classroom. Our wonderful PTO VPs recently drew names for each classroom and have contacted the room parents. Room parents will be in contact with the party volunteers to begin organizing classroom parties. If you have any questions, please reach out to Alicia McGowan or Andrea Weisner.
Box Tops Collection Is Underway!
Help the PTO earn funds to purchase supplies for our school by sending in your Box Tops! Box Tops can be found on many household products, including General Mills, Ziploc, Annie's, and much more! Classrooms have collection envelopes and are currently accepting physical Box Tops; however, there is an easier way to collect Box Tops....
The deadline for Fall Box Tops Collection is Fri., Oct. 18, but please continue to send in your Box Tops or scan your receipts throughout the school year! Any Box Tops submitted after the deadline can be used for our Spring Collection! Questions? Contact Eugenia Hahn, Nikki Ziomek, or Amy Feygin.
Special Lunch is Fri., Oct. 18...
We're bringing in Chick-Fil-A for our next Special Lunch, on Fri., Oct. 18. Your child had a choice of a Chicken Strip Slider, Grilled Chicken Salad, Grilled Chicken and Fruit Salad, or a Grilled Chicken Cool Ranch Wrap. This is just a friendly reminder.
Kildeer Coat Drive Is Coming Up
As we enter fall and chilly weather, it is important to remember those who are not as fortunate as many of us. It's that time of year when we start to clean out our closets, so please consider donating your family's outgrown coats to the Coat Drive. Give back by participating in our annual Kildeer Coat Drive. Collection boxes will be located in the main hallway at Kildeer starting Mon., Oct. 21.
SAVE THE DATE: Grades 3 and 4 Movie Night is Fri., Nov. 8
Our committee is currently working out the details for this fun-filled evening, coming early in November. You don't want to miss out on Movie Night!! Please keep in mind:
- This event is ONLY for Kildeer students in Grades 3 or 4.
- Drop-off and pick-up are INSIDE the school.
- A parent must sign the student in AND out.

2019–2020 Committee Chair Positions Open
CONSIDER SHARING YOUR TIME AND TALENTS WITH THE KILDEER PTO!
Interested in meeting other parents, being involved in your child's school, or even being part of his or her day? Consider chairing a PTO committee for the 2019–2020 school year. Thank you for considering volunteering your time and your talents to the Kildeer PTO. We could not offer these programs for our students and the school without your support!
We are asking ALL–both RETURNING chairs and NEW chairs–to go to the Kildeer PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT to sign up. Log in to your family account and find the sign-up on the home screen.
We are still in need of chairs for our Bingo Blast Committee. Organize the family BINGO event, including silent auction, raffles, and food sales. Coordinate the collection of the items for the raffle and BINGO prizes. Organize committees responsible for volunteers, prizes, decorations, set-up, advertisement, etc. Event date: Fri., Feb. 21, 2020
Another great committee needing chairs is the Community Giveback Committee. Work with Mrs. Norman and Toys for Tots for the Toy Collection. This is a low-time-commitment committee that benefits those less fortunate than many of us. Event dates are at the end of October through Early December.
We still are in need of chairs for Evening Story Time. Coordinate the evening with Principal Kieser. Pick out a story and readers for the event. Publicize and invite all Kildeer first graders and Willow Grove kindergartners who will be attending Kildeer School the following fall. Event date: Thurs., Apr. 23, 2020
Please feel free to share this information with any friends/parents you think might be interested in chairing a committee, including families with first graders. We would love to have as many families as possible involved in the wonderful activities we plan for Kildeer students. We thank you for your continued support of the Kildeer PTO. Membership Toolkit Instructions – Sign Up Today!!
The PTO uses an online database system called Membership Toolkit to organize our school activities. This system will better assist us in conducting business, organizing our volunteers, and streamlining our communications to you. Plus, parents can pay for events by credit card and easily view what they have purchased!
A friendly reminder regarding Membership Toolkit, please be sure you Complete the Checkout Process by hitting “PLACE ORDER.” A receipt will pop up on Membership Toolkit immediately after you place your order and then you will be emailed a copy of the receipt shortly after you place your order. If you do not receive a receipt, then your order wasn’t placed. Thanks so much!
Let’s get started!
1. Click HERE to access our Kildeer PTO Membership Toolkit webpage. If you have already created an account to order school supplies last year, your account is still valid – just log in! If you are new to Membership Toolkit, you will need to create an account using your personal email address.
2. Update your Family Information from the link on the homepage. Validate your family contact information and update your student(s) current grade in school. If you have a student who is now at Woodlawn or another school, click the box to indicate they are no longer a student.
3. Sign up!
o PTO Chairperson Sign Up – we are still in need of Chairpersons for Bingo Blast, 5th-Grade Transition Day, and more! Sign up today!
o PTO Committee Volunteer Opportunities – Get involved in the Kildeer community by volunteering for one of our awesome committees! There are a ton of ways to support Kildeer – sign up today!
o PTO Dues – If you did not pay PTO dues during school registration last spring, you can pay via Membership Toolkit.
o 2019-2020 PTO Value Package- Get ahead of the year and save! Purchase your family's Package today! It includes food, admissions, and more to Ice Cream/Pizza Social, Movie Night, Bingo Blast, and the Family Picnic.
4. Checkout! Once you have made your selections, click the “Proceed to Checkout” button at the bottom of the screen. Make payment through PayPal or a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Sorry–no checks or cash can be accepted for pre-pay events or items.
