A BIG THANK YOU!!

We thank all the families and individuals who contributed this week to Teacher and Staff Appreciation. Our Kildeer Family felt very loved and appreciated and the PTO could not have done this without your support. So, whether you donated funds, your time, or specific food items, we want to THANK YOU!!

Also, since so many people helped contribute new ideas for this week, we’ve decided to open up Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week Planning and make it an actual Committee!  This committee would work alongside the PTO Executive Board to help plan and organize this special week for our teachers and staff! Sign up today on the Kildeer MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT.

Order a supply kit for your child and it will be ready for pickup at Meet-the-Teacher Day at Kildeer in August. 2019/2020 Committee Chair/Positions Open

Consider Sharing Your Time and Talents with the Kildeer PTO!

Interested in meeting other parents, being involved in your child's school, or even being part of his or her day? Consider chairing a PTO committee for the 2019–2020 school year. There are many different opportunities available. CLICK HERE to explore opportunities available for Committee Chairperson positions. If you have questions or may be interested in a committee, please feel free to contact Marlene Aaron or Kim Connolly. Thank you for considering volunteering your time and your talents to the Kildeer PTO. We could not offer these programs for our students and the school without your support!

We are asking ALL—both RETURNING chairs and NEW chairs—to go to our MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT to sign up. Login to your family account and you will find the sign up on the home screen.

We are still in need of chairs for our Class Pictures Committee. Coordinate volunteers to assist photographers for school pictures on Picture Day in September. This is great opportunity to be sure your child is photo ready for his or her school picture!

We are still in need of chairs for our Cultural Arts Committee. The Cultural Arts Committee not only gets to see the performances (which are normally closed to parents), they get to work with Ms. Kieser to help choose which shows our students see. There is a special Cultural Arts Showcase in the fall that the committee attends, so there's no need to try to find ideas on your own!

We are still in need of chairs for our Bulletin Board Committee. This is a great committee to be a part of because you can come in on your own time when it fits best in your schedule. The team is responsible for decorating the board throughout the year based on upcoming PTO events. We have the majority of the supplies and designs from last year that you can reuse, or feel free to come up with your own!

Another great committee we are looking for chairs is the Community Giveback Committee. Coordinate the Fall Toy and Coat Drives to benefit communities within the surrounding area. Work with Mrs. Norman and Toys for Tots for the Toy collection. This is a low time commitment committee which benefits those less fortunate than many of us. Event dates take place at the end of October through early December.

We also need chairs for our Bingo Blast Committee. Organize the family BINGO event, including silent auction, raffles, and food sales. Coordinate the collection of the items for the raffle and BINGO prizes. Organize committees that will be responsible for volunteers, prizes, decorations, set-up, advertisement etc. Event Date: A Friday evening in February.

Please feel free to share this information with any friends/parents you think might be interested in chairing a committee next year, including families with incoming 1st graders. We would love to have as many families as possible involved in the wonderful activities we plan for the students at Kildeer. We thank you for your continued support of the Kildeer PTO. Looking forward to having you join us next year!
