Kildeer PTO Blog, Dec. 14, 2018

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Wishing all of our Kildeer families a safe and happy holiday season! We will not have a blog next Friday (Dec. 21), so I would like to thank all of our Room Parents and party volunteers for working so hard to ensure that next Friday's holiday parties are a success. Our children look forward to celebrating and I know they'll have so much fun playing games, making crafts, and getting ready for Winter Break.

The WINTER PARTY is Fri., Dec. 21

Our classroom Winter Parties are fast approaching and we want to send a friendly reminder that if you are volunteering and plan to bring your child home with you after the party, you still need to send a note to the office no later than the morning of the party (Dec. 21). Students may meet their parent in the small gym.

Additionally, if you are bringing treats, they must be dropped off to the office no later than Thursday morning (Dec. 20) at 11 AM to be checked by our school nurse. For safety, all snacks for the class parties must come in ORIGINAL packaging, or they will not be delivered to the classroom. Please refer to the APPROVED SNACK LIST and choose only snacks included on that list. Goodie Bags are NOT allowed.

Thank you–we appreciate your support in keeping our students safe!

The Next SPECIAL LUNCH is Jan. 18; Order by Jan. 4.

We're bringing in Chipotle for Special Lunch in January and all orders must be placed by Fri., Jan. 4, 2019. Your child will have a choice of build-your-own Chicken or Steak Tacos! There is also a kid's Cheese Quesadilla as an option. The next Special Lunch is Fri., Jan. 18, so sign up now on the Kildeer PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT.

BINGO BLAST Is in the Works.... What type of basket would you bid on?

That's right, it's time to mark your calendars for our annual BINGO BLAST event on Fri., Feb. 22. This is one of our biggest events of the year, with raffle baskets, a silent auction, and a few new surprises in store this year. Our Committee chairs are working hard coming up with new and fresh ideas for the baskets and would love to hear from you regarding theme ideas for parent and family baskets. Did you know Bingo Blast is our biggest fundraiser? Bingo Blast pays for our Cultural Arts assemblies, which cost over $4000 each year, and it pays for things like author visits, which can run over $1000 a year. Not only do we use the money raised from Bingo Blast on some fantastic events for our children, the kids LOVE Bingo Blast!
