The Cougar Challenge is Wednesday!
The Cougar Challenge is a whole-school fun run coordinated by our wonderful gym teachers. The PTO will provide bananas for the students after the race. The event is scheduled for this Wed., Sept. 26.
Please be sure to send your child to school with a water bottle and gym shoes!
Fall Book Fair Is Coming!
Our annual Scholastic Fall Book Fair is right around the corner. The Book Fair will run from Mon., Oct. 1–Thurs., Oct. 4. Each class will have set times on Monday and Tuesday to preview books and make a Wish List. Purchase times are designated on Wednesday and Thursday. Stay tuned for more details on the class Book Fair Schedule and how you can volunteer to help at the Book Fair!
The Book Fair will also be open during the Ice Cream and Pizza Social on Wed., Oct. 3. Be sure to stop by and see our amazing selection of books!
Fall Book Fair Committee Chairs Needed
Are you looking for an opportunity to get in the school and work with all the kids? Consider chairing the Fall Book Fair! We already have two experienced and amazing women chairing this committee, but we are looking for some new faces who will be walked through the entire process. Pizza & Ice Cream Social – Oct. 3, 5:30–8 p.m.
It's almost time for one of our favorite events of the year –the Pizza & Ice Cream Social on Wed., Oct. 3, from 5:30–8 p.m.! This is a fun night and a great way to connect as a school community. The Book Fair also will be open in the Small Gym. This year, we'll be serving authentic Italian gelato!
Also new this year...
• We're offering a Gluten-Free Pizza, but this option will be available ONLY to those who preorder.
•We're offering a Dairy-Free dessert option to make this night more inclusive for all our families.

Have a 5th-Grader? Join us for 5th-Grade Movie Night!
Kildeer PTO is bringing one last Movie Night to our 5th-grade class on Fri., Sept. 28, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. Don't miss out on the laughs as the kids enjoy a special viewing of A Night at the Museum (PG). We will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.; you can drop off your 5th grader at 6:15 p.m. INSIDE THE SCHOOL. Please remember: NO blankets, stuffed animals, or pillows will be permitted at Movie Night. You may bring your own seat cushion so long as it is not plush or cloth–or you can purchase a Kildeer seat cushion on Membership Toolkit.
This is a 5th-grade Kildeer student event only–no siblings are allowed to attend. Pick-up is promptly at 8:30 p.m. INSIDE THE SCHOOL. You must be present to sign your child in and out.

Dessert Days have started...
Dessert Day is off to a great start! Every Thursday during lunch in the cafeteria, we offer an assortment of frozen treats to Dessert Day cardholders. Your one-time purchase will enable your child to enjoy the dessert of his/her choice every Thursday for the entire school year!

Membership Toolkit Instructions – Sign Up Today!!
The PTO uses an online database system called Membership Toolkit to organize our school activities. This system will better assist us in conducting business, organizing our volunteers, and streamlining our communications to you. Plus, parents can pay for events by credit card and easily view what they have purchased!
A friendly reminder regarding Membership Toolkit: Please be sure you Complete the Checkout Process by clicking PLACE ORDER. A receipt will pop up on Membership Toolkit immediately after you place your order and then you will be emailed a copy of the receipt shortly after you place your order. If you do not receive a receipt, your order was not placed!
Let's get started!
- Click HERE to access our Kildeer PTO Membership Toolkit. If you already created an account last spring to order school supplies for the 2018–19 school year, your account still is valid. Just log in! If you are new to the Kildeer PTO Membership Toolkit, create an account using your personal email address.
- Update your Family Information from the link on the homepage. Validate your family contact information and update the current grade level for each of your students at Kildeer this 2018–19 school year. If your former Kildeer student has moved on to Woodlawn Middle School, click the box to indicate that he or she is no longer a Kildeer student.
- Sign up! The following forms are currently available:
• PTO Chairperson Sign-Up – We still are in need of chairpersons for 5th-Grade Variety Show and 5th-Grade Girls' night Out, 3rd- and 3th-Grade Movie Night, and more! Sign up today!
• PTO Committee Volunteer Opportunities – Get involved in the Kildeer community by volunteering for one or more of our awesome committees! There are a ton of ways to support Kildeer. Sign up today!
• PTO Dues – If you did not pay PTO dues on the online registration form for the 2018–19 school year, you can pay via Membership Toolkit.
• Special Lunch – View the menu options for our Special Lunch program and select your entrees for each child. Please note that if you have more than one Kildeer student, you will need to sign up for Special Lunch for each child.
• Dessert Day Cards – Sign up for a Dessert Day card to get a treat every Thursday.
• 5th-Grade Movie Night – All 5th-grade Kildeer students are invited to join us Fri., Sept. 28, at 6:30 p.m. for a special viewing of A Night at the Museum (PG). Order your ticket and snacks today!
• Pizza & Ice Cream Social – Join us for the 2018 Pizza & Ice Cream Social on Wed., Oct. 3, from 5:30–8 p.m. at Kildeer. Preorder your pizza, gelato, and beverage and skip the lines! - Check out! Once you have made your selections, click the "Proceed to Checkout" button at the bottom of the screen. Make payment through PayPal or a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Sorry–no cash or checks can be accepted for pre-pay events or items.
