Fall Book Fair is Coming!
Our annual Scholastic Book Fair is right around the corner. The Book Fair will run Mon., Oct. 1, – Thurs., Oct. 4. Each class will have set times on Monday and Tuesday to preview books and make their wish list. Purchase times for classes will be designated on Wednesday and Thursday during the Book Fair. Stay tuned for more details on your student's class Book Fair schedule and volunteer opportunities to help at the Book Fair!

Fall Book Fair Committee Chairs Needed
Are you looking for an opportunity to get in the school and work with all the kids? Consider chairing the Fall Book Fair! We already have two experienced and amazing women chairing this committee, but we are looking for some new faces. We will walk you through the entire process. Pizza and Gelato Social – Oct. 3, 5:30–8 p.m.
It is almost time for one of our favorite events of the year – the Pizza and Ice Cream Social on Wed., Oct. 3, from 5:30–8 p.m.! This is a fun night and a great way to connect as a school community. The Book Fair will also be open in the Small Gym. This year we will be serving authentic Italian gelato!
Also new this year:
• We're offering a Gluten-Free Pizza option, but this option will be available ONLY to those who pre-order.
•We're offering a Dairy-Free Dessert option to make this event more inclusive for all our families.
Remember to avoid the long lines and pre-order your Domino's Pizza, Gelato, and drinks for your family on the Kildeer PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT. All pre-orders must be placed by Wed., Sept. 26.
Have a 5th Grader? Then be sure to join us for 5th-Grade Movie Night!
Kildeer PTO is bringing one last Movie Night to our 5th-grade class on Fri., Sept. 28, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. Don't miss out on the laughs as the kids enjoy a special viewing of A Night at the Museum (PG)! We will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m., so you can drop off your 5th grader at 6:15 p.m. INSIDE THE SCHOOL. Please remember: no blankets, stuffed animals, or pillows will be permitted at Movie Night. You may bring your own seat cushion–so long as it is not plush or cloth–or you can purchase a Kildeer seat cushion on Membership Toolkit. This is a Kildeer School 5th-grade student event only, so no siblings are allowed. Pick-up is promptly at 8:30 p.m. INSIDE THE SCHOOL. You must be present to sign your child in and out! Place your order on the Kildeer PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT. All orders must be placed by Mon., Sept. 24. Only pre-orders will be accepted–NO WALK-INS to this event, please. Place your order today!

Dessert Days have started...
Dessert Day is celebrated every Thursday during lunch in the school cafeteria. Be sure you secure your Dessert Day card and guarantee that your child will get to enjoy the dessert of his/her choice every Thursday! Membership Toolkit Instructions – Sign Up Today!!
The PTO uses an online database system called Membership Toolkit to organize our school activities. This system will better assist us in conducting business, organizing our volunteers, and streamlining our communications to you. Plus, parents can pay for events by credit card and easily view what they have purchased!
A friendly reminder regarding Membership Toolkit: Please be sure you Complete the Checkout Process by clicking PLACE ORDER. A receipt will pop up on Membership Toolkit immediately after you place your order and then you will be emailed a copy of the receipt shortly after you place your order. If you do not receive a receipt, your order was not placed!

- Click HERE to access our Kildeer PTO Membership Toolkit. If you already created an account last spring to order school supplies for the 2018–19 school year, your account still is valid. Just log in! If you are new to the Kildeer PTO Membership Toolkit, create an account using your personal email address.
- Update your Family Information from the link on the homepage. Validate your family contact information and update the current grade level for each of your students at Kildeer this 2018–19 school year. If your former Kildeer student has moved on to Woodlawn Middle School, click the box to indicate that he or she is no longer a Kildeer student.
- Sign up! The following forms will be available Aug. 13:
• PTO Chairperson Sign-Up – We still are in need of chairpersons for Bingo Blast, 5th-grade Transition Day, and more! Sign up today!
• PTO Committee Volunteer Opportunities – Get involved in the Kildeer community by volunteering for one or more of our awesome committees! There are a ton of ways to support Kildeer. Sign up today!
• PTO Dues – If you did not pay PTO dues on the online registration form for the 2018–19 school year, you can pay via Membership Toolkit.
• Special Lunch – View the menu options for our Special Lunch program and select your entrees for each child. Please note that if you have more than one Kildeer student, you will need to sign up for Special Lunch for each child.
• Dessert Day Cards and Birthday Celebrations – Sign up for a Dessert Day card to get a treat every Thursday. Celebrate your child's birthday by buying ice cream for the class. Make sure to list your child's teacher and birthday–we'll work to get every celebrating student a birthday celebration date as close to his or her actual birthdate or half-birthdate as possible.
• 2018–2019 PTO Value Package – Get ahead of the year and save! Purchase your family's Package today! It includes food, admissions, and more to Ice Cream/Pizza Social, Movie Night, Bingo Blast, and the Family Picnic.
• Classroom Parent Volunteers – Volunteer in your child's classroom throughout the year. Opportunities include Room Parent, Cougar Press Parent (new this year!), and Classroom Party Volunteer. Please note that classroom parent volunteer opportunities are limited. If the request to volunteer is greater than the need, we will use a lottery system to choose volunteers and will work to include as many families as possible. Sign up for all the opportunities that interest you to increase your opportunity to be involved! Volunteers will be notified by email in September. - Check out! Once you have made your selections, click the "Proceed to Checkout" button at the bottom of the screen. Make payment through PayPal or a major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Sorry–no cash or checks can be accepted for pre-pay events or items.
