SPRING BOOKFAIR NEXT WEEK – PAWS FOR BOOKS!

We have a wonderful selection of books with many new additions to well-loved series and favorite authors. The Spring Book Fair is scheduled for Tues., Apr. 17 – Thurs., Apr. 19 during school hours and also during our Evening Storytime Event on Wed., Apr. 19, from 6 – 8 PM. Be sure to check your child's classroom blog for information on when their class will be attending!

Can't make the Book Fair? We invite you to visit our ONLINE BOOK FAIR. Our Online Book Fair will be available Sat., Apr. 14, through Fri., Apr. 21. Purchases made online will be sent directly to your child's classroom once the Online Book Fair is over.

Do you enjoy seeing kids get excited about books? CLICK HERE to volunteer during the Book Fair.

EVENING STORYTIME

Calling all 1st graders! Please join us on Wed., Apr. 18, from 6:30–7:30 PM for Kildeer's Evening Storytime. This is a fun event just for incoming kindergartners and 1st graders. Come and welcome the future Kildeer students, show off your classroom, and hear stories read by your 1st-grade teachers.

Please RSVP to Alicia McGowan at [email protected] to let us know you are coming. Hope to see you then!

SIGN UP NOW!

Want to be part of your child's school day? Would you like to be able to see your child and his/her friends at lunch? Want to see the Cutlural Arts assemblies that your child attends? Then we have the opportunities for you! Our Dessert Day, Special Lunch, and Cultural Arts Committees all need chairs for next year! The Dessert Day and Special Lunch chairs get to be at school once a month and have the opportunity to interact with ALL of the students at Kildeer in one of their favorite environments: lunch! The Cultural Arts Committee not only gets to see the performances (which are normally closed to parents), they get to work with Mrs. Kieser to help choose which shows our students will get to see. There is a special Cultural Arts Showcase in the fall that the Committee attends, so there's no need to try to find the ideas on your own! If any of these committees sound fun to you, please go to the KILDEER PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT and sign up! It's a great way to get to know a lot of people – both parents from Kildeer and students! If you have any questions about any of the committees, please feel free to contact Jodi Zachara or Alicia McGowan.

We are asking ALL–both RETURNING and NEW chairs–to go to MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT to sign up. Log in to your family account and you will find the sign-up under MyAccount/FormsAndPaperwork/VolunteerOpportunities. Chairpersons for the 2018/2019 school year will be notified by May 1.

Please feel free to share this information with any friends/parents you think might be interested in chairing a committee next year, including families with incoming 1st graders. We would love to have as many families as possible involved in the wonderful activities we plan for the students at Kildeer. We thank you for your continued support of the Kildeer PTO. Looking forward to having you join us next year!
