BINGO BLAST–Raffle Basket Donations Needed!

Each year, we are fortunate to fill grade-level raffle baskets through donations from our Kildeer family. The raffle baskets are a crowd favorite at Bingo Blast! Before break, students voted on grade-level basket themes and the winners are:
1st Grade
Beanie Boos – Cuddle up with a basket full of your favorite Beanie Boo animals
Star Wars – Support the Rebellion with a basket of your favorite Star Wars toys and gear

2nd Grade
All that Glitters – JoJo Bows, jewelry, Squishys, and anything that sparkles
LEGO – Build a city with all your favorite LEGO characters

3rd Grade
Get Crafty – Get inspired with art supplies, craft kits, and tools
Mad Science – All you need to make slime and conduct experiments

4th Grade
Spa Basket – face masks, nail art, and more to refresh and replenish
Tech Basket – iTunes, headphones, and other tech gear

5th Grade
Top Chef Tools – cookbooks, utensils, and special ingredients for a future chef
Chicago Sports Basket – apparel, memorabilia for Chicago sports fans

Baskets have been placed in each classroom to collect Bingo Blast Raffle Basket donations. Non-food donations can be sent in directly with your child; donations of candy or other food-related items can be coordinated through Laura Elizalde ([email protected]). Thank you in advance for your support!

PTO CHAIR SIGN-UP FOR 2018/2019

It is hard to believe that we are beginning to make plans for NEXT year already!! The Nominating Committee is working on selecting committee chairs for the 2018-19 school year. Our process for gathering names of those interested in leading these committees has changed. We are asking ALL–both RETURNING and NEW chairs–to go to MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT (CLICK HERE to sign up). Log in to your family account and you will find the sign-up under My Account/Forms And Paper work/Volunteer Opportunities

Chairing a PTO committee is one of the best ways that parents can support the students and staff at our school. Please review the brief descriptions of each chairperson opportunity and indicate your interests. Please also identify if you are a returning chair to the committee. Generally positions are 2-year commitments. Your contact information will then be forwarded to the PTO Nominating Committee for review. Chairpersons for the 2018/19 school year will be notified by May 1st. Please feel free to share this information with any friends/parents you think might be interested in chairing a committee next year, including families with incoming 1st graders!! We would love to have as many families as possible involved in the wonderful activities we plan for the students at Kildeer. We thank you for your continued support of the Kildeer PTO!!

Membership Toolkit Instructions!!

The PTO is implementing some BIG changes in the way we are approaching our back to school activities - this year we will be using an online database system called Membership Toolkit.  This system will better assist us in conducting business, organizing our volunteers, and streamlining our communications to you.  Plus, parents can pay by credit card and easily view what they have purchased!

Let’s get started!

  1. Click HERE to access our Kildeer PTO Membership Toolkit webpage.  If you have already created an account to order school supplies last year, your account is still valid – just log in!  If you are new to Membership Toolkit, you will need to create an account using your personal email address.
  2. Update your Family Information from the link on the homepage.  Validate your family contact information and update your student(s) current grade in school (for the 2017/2018 school year).  If you have a student who is now at Woodlawn or another school, click the box to indicate they are no longer a student.
  3. Sign up!  We currently have the following forms available!
    1. PTO Chairperson Sign Up – we are still in need of Chairpersons for Bingo Blast, 5th Grade Transition Day, and more!  Sign up today!
    2. PTO Committee Volunteer Opportunities – Get involved in the Kildeer community by volunteering for one of our awesome committees!  There are tons of ways to support Kildeer – sign up today!
    3. PTO Dues – If you did not pay PTO dues during school registration last spring, you can pay via Membership Toolkit.
    4. Special Lunch – View the menu options for our Special Lunch program and select your entrees for each child.  Please note that if you have more than one Kildeer student, you will need to sign up for Special Lunch for each child.
    5. Dessert Day Cards and Birthday Celebrations – Sign up for a Dessert Day card to get a treat every Thursday. Celebrate your child’s birthday by buying ice cream for the class.  Make sure to list their teacher and birthday – we will work to get everybody a birthday celebration date as close to their actual birthday or half-birthday as possible.
    6. Checkout!  Once you have made your selections, click the “Proceed to Checkout” button at the bottom of the screen.   Payment is made through PayPal and accepts all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).  Sorry, no checks or cash are accepted for pre-pay events.
    7. Continue to watch the blog for updates – we will continue to add opportunities throughout the year!

    Need More Information?

Online in our school Virtual Backpack you will find the link for Membership Toolkit as well as information and links for other activities that are not included in Membership Toolkit, such as information on box top collection and our Label Daddy fundraiser.

Please feel free to contact PTO co-presidents Alicia McGowan  or Jodi Zachara if you have any questions.
