AFTER-SCHOOL SPORTS PROGRAM – Grades 3, 4, and 5
After-school sports will include opportunities for fun playing general games, basketball, and volleyball.
Grade 3 students on Mondays (begin Aug. 27); Grade 4 students on Wednesdays (begin Aug. 29); Grade 5 students on Thursdays (begin Aug. 30)
20 sessions, 3–4 p.m. (Attendance at every session is not required. )
Note: Children must be picked up on time (habitual late pick-up will result in a student's inability to participate).
Pick-up will be in front of the school and carpools are encouraged.

BEFORE-SCHOOL SPORTS PROGRAM – Grades 1 and 2
Before-school sports will include opportunities for fun playing favorite games in the large gym
Grade 2 students on Tuesdays (begin Aug. 28); Grade 1 students on Tuesdays (more info to come regarding dates)
10 sessions, 7:45–8:15 a.m. (Attendance at every session is not required. )
Parents must provide transportation (not on the school bus).
Students should be dropped off at the front of Kildeer School no earlier than 7:45 a.m.
Please notify Clubhouse staff if your child is enrolled and will participate in Before-School Sports.

READER'S THEATER CLUB – Grades 3, 4, and 5
Does your student love to use expression, be creative, and perform for others? If so, Reader's Theater Club is for him or her!

Reader's Theater Club meets each Thursday when school is in session from Oct. 4–Feb. 7.
No FEE. Pick up from the club is in FRONT of the school building at the parent pick-up line.

CHORUS – Grades 4 and 5 
Chorus meets Thursday mornings (beginning Oct. 4) from 7:50 –8:20 a.m. (Please do not drop your student off before 7:40 a.m.)

CREATIVE WRITING & BOOK CLUB – Grades 3–5 
Have fun reading and writing! Does your student love being a creative writer? Writing poetry or fun stories? Does your student love reading or talking about books with others? If so, Creative Writing & Book Club is for him or her!
Meets Wednesdays when school is in session Oct. 17 – Mar. 21 in the Kildeer Library from 3–4 p.m.

TECHNOLOGY CHESS CLUB – Grades 2–5
Technology Chess Club is NOT a chess class. Beginners learn basics and more seasoned players hone their skills through practice on boards and with computer software/ iPads/Safe Internet Chess websites.

Technology Chess Club meets Thursdays from 3–4 p.m. in the Learning Center (on days school is in session) from Oct. 4–May 9.  Participants do not need to attend every session and may participate in other clubs meeting at this time.
Note: Technology Chess Club will not meet on the following dates: Oct. 18, Jan. 24; Feb. 14 (Valentine's Day); Mar. 7 Early Release); or Apr. 11.

No fee. Pick up from the BACK of the school building in the bus parking lot.

CODING CLUB – Grades 4–5
Does your student have a love for math, computer science, or coding? Then Coding Club is where he or she should be! We'll be using a coding program called Scratch to create projects that enhance creativity, problem-solving skills, and coding skills!

2019 JUMP ROPE FOR HEART – Grades 2, 3, & 4  
2019 HOOPS FOR HEART– Grade 5

Jump Rope for Heart/Hoops for Heart is a national program co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. It is endorsed by the Governor's Council on Health and Fitness. Contributions raised through the event will help fund research, education, and community programs of your local Heart Association. Heart disease and stroke kill more people each year than all other causes of death combined. If your child would like to participate in one of these events, please click on the permission form liks below for more information.
5th-Graders' Session: Wednesdays that school is in session from Oct. 17–Dec. 19.
4th-Graders' Session: Thursdays that school is in session from Jan. 10 – Feb. 28.
