Mrs. Cumpata's Weekly Message - 6.2.23

End of Year Celebration - Go Cougars!

Good Afternoon,

Welcome to Summer Break, we made it!  Today is our last edition of the Principal’s Message for this school year. I want to thank our teachers for all their hard work in helping all of our learners grow throughout the school year. Thank you to our support staff for their flexibility in supporting students each day. Thank you to our students for riding the Kildeer Energy Bus, turning on their light and choosing JOY.  Thank you to our wonderful and hard working PTO.  The events and experiences you provided for our students were memorable and greatly appreciated. Finally, thank you to all of our Kildeer families for welcoming me into this amazing learning community. I have enJOYed my first year as Principal and am looking forward to continuing this journey next school year.  As a school, we wish our 5th graders the best as they leave Kildeer ready for the new experiences and environments that middle school will bring them.  You should expect to receive the next Principal’s Message at the end of the first week of August.

EnJOY your summer!

Mrs. Karen Cumpata

REPEAT *Summer Reading*

This summer, we want students to experience the pure joy of reading. Since the purpose of summer reading is to help foster a love of reading, we strongly feel that students should read a book that is of high interest to them and close to the difficulty level of text they would encounter during the school year.

To support our elementary students in continuing to read over the summer, each grade level has a recommended reading list, as well as optional reading lessons that can be completed independently by students. Both the lists and the summer reading lessons can be found on our district website.
