Mrs. Cumpata's Weekly Message - 12.9.22

Good Afternoon Kildeer Families,

Kildeer had another great week of learning!  Students participated in MAP testing early this week as well as our fluency screenings.  Our teachers will use this data to celebrate student progress and target learning areas in the coming weeks.

Our first trimester 2 PAWSitive PAW Party will take place next week.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of grade level games.  We are so proud of all the students for continuing to follow the Cougar 5.

Leading up to winter break, students and staff are encouraged to participate in our winter theme days occurring the week of December 19.  Another reminder will be sent out next week as well.

Monday, December 19 - Wear Green

Tuesday, December 20 - Pajama Day

Wednesday, December 21 - Wear warm, comfy clothes (sweats, sweatshirt)

Thursday, December 22 - Wear your favorite holiday shirt or Kildeer spirit wear

As a reminder, we appreciate everyone calling or emailing the office if your child(ren) are not in attendance.  If you know in advance there will be an absence, please email the classroom teacher and Mrs. Wright ([email protected]).

EnJOY your weekend!

Mrs. Karen Cumpata

*Upcoming Dates*

  • Tuesday, December 13th - Early Release Day; Students are dismissed at 2:05pm

  • Friday, December 23rd - No School, 1st Day of Winter Break

REPEAT *Recess During the Winter*

For students to play in the snow, they must have snow pants, boots, gloves and jacket.  This applies to both the field and the playground area. This ensures that their clothes, hands and feet are dry for lunch and the remainder of the afternoon.  Students who do not have snow pants and boots can still play on the blacktop area.

REPEAT *I Am Me…We Are Kildeer!*

I Am Me… We Are Kildeer!

Our 5th Annual community event, I Am Me… We Are Kildeer, is scheduled for Thursday, February 9th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. This night is a unique celebration of all the cultures and families that make up Kildeer. You can expect to taste foods from around the world, witness scintillating student performances, and learn about Kildeer family cultures and traditions.

Please join us in celebrating what makes us different and what brings us all together. It's not an accurate representation of our Kildeer community without you!

We are looking for presenters, performers, and attendees! Regardless of whether you want to share a delicious dish, sing a song on stage, or just visit with your family, please FILL OUT THIS FORM to express your interest.

We look forward to sharing this amazing night with you!
