Mrs. Cumpata's Weekly Message - 10.14.22

Good Afternoon Kildeer Families,

After our first round of successful Family Educator Conferences, our Kildeer Cougars completed an excellent 4-day week of school.  Today was our 2nd PAWSitive PAW Party.  Students enjoyed playing board games and card games with their grade level peers.  We are so proud of the students for continuing to demonstrate Cougar 5 behaviors and making positive choices.  Finally, it was so great to see and hear the excitement from our 4th graders and they entered the building after their field trip.  They enjoyed a show at the Metropolitan Performing Arts Center.  Thank you to the parent chaperones and to our 4th grade teachers for planning a fun and engaging field trip.  We are so happy that we are able to provide these unique experiences for our students.

A huge thank you to the PTO and parent volunteers that made today’s Special Lunch successful.  We appreciate your help.

Please take a few moments to read some information pertaining to Kildeer Elementary as well as district-wide information.

EnJOY your weekend!

Mrs. Karen Cumpata

  • Monday, 10/31 ~ Halloween Parade and Parties

REPEAT *Halloween Costumes*

Our Halloween festivities will be here before we know it.  We look forward to students dressing in their Halloween costumes for our Halloween Parade and classroom parties on Monday, October 31.  Please help us with the following costume guidelines.  Students will change into their costumes after their lunch period at school.  Please ensure that your child can get the costume on with no or minimal help.

Costumes must be appropriate for school.  If costumes are not school appropriate the student will be asked to remove their costume.

  • Please no masks, blood, super scary stuff, general ickiness, or weapons

  • Please no cigars or cigarette items

  • Please no bare tummies

  • Please keep hair coloring and make-up simple

REPEAT *Cooler Weather is Upon Us*

The leaves are providing us a beautiful backdrop during recess.  Please make sure that your child has the appropriate clothes as the temperature drops.  Dressing in layers is always a good idea.  Please label your child’s items so that if they find their way to the Lost and Found, the item can be returned to your child.
