Kildeer Principal's Message- January 7th

working hard

Dear Kildeer Families,

There is nothing more exciting than welcoming our students back from winter break! They are full of stories to share about anything from skiing trips to just staying cozy at home (exactly what my family did). As I walked through classrooms this week I noticed many focusing on goals for the new year. Some goals were about eating healthier (super impressed for a child to say that) and others were about becoming better readers or writers. A big shout-out to Mrs. Kroes and her third graders this week. I had the pleasure of spending extra time and seeing some really great learning in action.

Do you know what I think? 2022 is our chance to make it a great one and that is what we plan to do!

Unfortunately, 2022 has started with a rise in the metrics and at this time, we are going to postpone our I AM ME...WE ARE KILDEER family celebration. I'll come back soon with a date but wanted to make sure you know that we are committed to this celebration as soon as it's safer to do so! Thank you, as always, for your understanding as we navigate these circumstances!

NEWish *Artwork contest winner & I AM ME...WE ARE KILDEER family celebration*

Speaking of our family celebration......

Thank you for understanding that we are rescheduling our family celebration for late February or early March. A date will come soon and we will ask all families to RSVP closer to the date.....just in case!

*Student Council News*

Hello Kildeer Cougars and families

Thank you so much for your Toys For Tots donations! We were all so delighted to see all of the overflowing boxes. Kildeer has collected over 400 toys since the start of this event in November. The school was so impressed by your enthusiastic participation in this worthy program.

This will certainly put smiles on children’s faces when they get to open their toy.

Thank you again!

 From Karina - Student Council

Let's end with a very cute student story. This week we had a few new faces join Kildeer. At the end of the day, the teacher asked one of the new students, "So, how was it? How was your first day?" The reply? "It was great! This really is a 10-star school!"

Thank you Kildeer students for making our hearts smile. Have a nice weekend ahead.

Fondly,

Mrs. Vail Kieser

Principal
