Kildeer Principal's Message- December 17th

spirit week

Dear Kildeer Families,

What a fun and exciting week to end 2021 at Kildeer! I'd like to give a huge shout-out to our student council for planning all of the fun spirit days. We kicked it off with sports day and ended today with winter sweater weather. We had some very cute and festive outfits!

Our students also certainly enjoyed the winter parties. There was music, laughter, crafts, and fun games. I am once again in awe by our PTO volunteers for making the parties for students fun and meaningful. We cannot thank you enough!

With that being said, please read on to find out WHO the winner is for our artwork contest! As promised, drum roll please.......

NEW *Artwork contest winner & I AM ME...WE ARE KILDEER family celebration*

Congratulations to our 5th grader, Jessica Taylor, for winning our art contest for this year's family celebration! We are so proud of YOU for your masterpiece. Additionally, we would like to celebrate all of our Kildeer students that submitted artwork so please enjoy this slideshow! Way to go Kildeer cougars!

Speaking of our family celebration......

Come one! Come all! Please join us on Thursday, January 13, 2022, for our 4th annual family celebration. This is an evening when we come together as a community to learn from and about each other. The evening will be organized differently than before in order to keep all attendees as safe as possible. However, our committee and students have been working extra hard to make sure the evening is just as special!

  • We ask that your family submits an RSVP for the evening so that we can plan for the correct numbers of attendees. If you are attending, please submit this form no later than Monday, January 10th at 3:00 p.m. Thank you for understanding that we are only allowing immediate family members this year.
  • Also, are you still interested in submitting some trivia? You have until Friday, January 7th at 5:00 p.m.
  • Do you need a digital copy of each student's homework assignment? Students should complete this and return to Kildeer by Monday, January 10th. These will be shared during our January buddy classrooms and then hung on the lockers for all to see during our family celebration!

NEW *Student Return after Winter Break*

This is a friendly reminder that students return to school on Tuesday, January 4, 2022! We will see you then!

NEW *Parent drop-off reminder*

For the safety of our Kildeer students, please do not get out of your car when dropping your students in the Parent Drop-off line. If you would like to walk your student to the entrance, please park in the designated parking spaces and walk them on the sidewalk. Thank you.

*Student Council News*

Hello Kildeer Cougars and families

Thank you so much for your Toys For Tots donations! We were all so delighted to see all of the overflowing boxes. Kildeer has collected over 400 toys since the start of this event in November. The school was so impressed by your enthusiastic participation in this worthy program.

This will certainly put smiles on children’s faces when they get to open their toy.

Thank you again!

 From Karina - Student Council
