Kildeer Principal's Message-September 6th

Kildeer Principal's Message-September 6th

Dear Kildeer Families,

Can you believe we started our week with a brief power outage? I want to again congratulate our students for doing a really nice job on Tuesday morning when they entered the halls of Kildeer with nothing more than the emergency lights. I think our students actually enjoyed starting the day with all of our school in the large gym. What an adventure! One of my favorite kid quotes from the week was when a little girl entered our school that morning. She said, "Wow! This is just like the old days when there was no electricity. You know, like in the 80's?"

It's all coming back....... a night we will never forget!

We have closed our sign-up for the I AM ME...WE ARE KILDEER family celebration on Friday, September 13th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. However, even if you didn't RSVP to attend we still want to see YOUR FAMILY there!

What can you expect from the evening?

  • Booths from families to learn about their culture. We have anything from traditional Jewish foods to learning about how music plays an important role in a staff member's life!
  • Stage performances featuring anything from Bollywood to teaching us Hindi!
  • All of the student and staff homework posters on digital display in the large gym!
  • A photo booth opportunity for your family to capture the evening!

*Please remember that the purpose of this evening is to learn from and about your family. For that reason, we will not be allowing any outside organizations or the promotion of outside organizations. Thank you for understanding and if you have any questions, please reach out to Vail Kieser, Principal.

Also, I am absolutely thrilled that we are one short week away from our I AM ME...WE ARE KILDEER family celebration. Our committee of staff and parents has been working hard to plan the evening and finalize all of the details. The energy of this night is contagious so I hope that we will see your family there!

The thumbnail photo this week is a sneak peek of the actual t-shirt for staff and students. They arrived this week and will be passed out early next week. Please make sure your child wears his or her t-shirt on Thursday, September 12th to correspond with our buddy classroom! We look forward to this time together. Thanks again to our amazing PTO for providing each and every student and staff member this special shirt!
