Kildeer Principal's Message- May 3rd

Kildeer Principal's Message- May 3rd

Kildeer Families,

Mr. Tatar does it again! A few months ago, Mr. Tatar came to me with an idea for his fifth-grade show. We knew we had a challenge with the largest class we've ever had. We also knew we wanted to keep our theme going with "I AM ME...WE ARE KILDEER" this year. Mr. Tatar was able to create a show that represented our students, included student voice, and was one of his very best! It was the first time we've had to hold a show in our large gym and it was extremely creative with the students walking through the crowd during the first song. Way to go!

Thank you so much to Mr. Tatar, the amazing students, our 5th-grade team, and the specials team! I want to give a special shout-out to Mrs. Sarlitto that helped troubleshoot technology, even though it didn't end up cooperating in the end.

Like Mr. Tatar mentioned, we don't have 5th-grade graduation. The musical is our last chance to have all of our students and families together before they start the next chapter. In my opening remarks, I had all of our 5th-grade parents that are officially leaving Kildeer to raise their hands. We thank you sincerely for the joy of working with your children and your family over the years.

Our staff loves what we do and we wish you good luck at Woodlawn. Don't worry, you will be in good hands with my good friend, Mr. Grana!

It's the LAST edition of the year. I want to thank Ms. April and Ms. Ohnsted for making this student vision a reality and bringing the student voice to Kildeer! Please enjoy!

I've mentioned before how much our school values our partnership with the PTO. We are so fortunate to have so many parents that are dedicated to making Kildeer an even better place. Your positivity and partnership are beyond appreciated.

With that, if you've been able to donate your time this year and can join us this next week, we'd love to have you. It's a Kildeer tradition for our staff to host breakfast for YOU. It's one of the smallest ways we can demonstrate our appreciation and thank our PTO for the amazing things you do throughout the year to support our staff and students!

We hope to see YOU there! Also, for all of our families, our PTO is sponsoring the annual family picnic on May 23rd. Please mark your calendars. I can't wait to share my own family with YOU!

Warm Regards,

Principal Vail Kieser
